Hello sir...good evening...sir Balfour vs Balfour mein there was no intention of husband to create legal obligation when he didn't sent money to his wife for treatment in this case there was no contract according to law...but sir in the case of Jones vs Padavattam mother ne bhi koi legal obligation create nh kia tha when she promised to send money to her daughter phir ise kaise contract mana gaya?

Sir how a reasonable man would know that in any case, that there is legal obligation or not. If contract is not done in written. Sir in the last case how will the court assume that there is legal obligation or not if the mother refused to provide the maintenance before the time period of the specified course. (I here mean before 3 years if mother refused)

Marriage is not a contract in India, it's the discretionary power of the male /female to choose their life partners, so u can't compel anybody for marriage under contract. But if u have spent money on her under the contract that she would arrange marriage with u than u can file a suit for reimbursement of ur expenses or money spent on her. No specific relief can be claimed against her.
