Awful equipment. Sl25 and el22/el18 heat pumps are full of errors. In fact they can’t figure out why the sl25 keep overheating and causing top cap issues,

Very simple, the people that “Can’t figure it out” dont understand ductwork, air flow and static pressure. Fix all that and those units work flawlessly.

@@phatsublime well I think otherwise, Lennox has sent bulletins saying they know there are issues - too cap over heating because they insulated the compressor with two blankets - took them year and a half to address s30/40 algorithm that was not allowing gas heat to kick in on duel fuel systems -they agreed that there charging charts might have been wrong when adding additional refrigerant for different coils. - out of factory they have crossed wires on the eev board causing the unit to pump down. I agree heat pumps require proper commissioning and proper procedures with envelope issues being addressed, but the sl25 line up has been riddled with issues since day 1
