Reaper Rocks ,I have been doing all my afrobeats and amapiano instrumentals in Reaper for a long time ,Reaper is the easiest and simplest in every aspect of music making, best DAW if am to say.

For amapiano, how do you deal with making the logdrum? Because I use FL STUDIO and the DX10 which contains the logdrum preset is am FL STUDIO stock plugin

@@georgekefalas1703 fm synths are free. dexxed. helm, vital, synth1 all have fm synthesis. fl studio's UI sucks, on desktop. the mobile version is great. but ableton and reaper outshine fl studio's user interface. the problem with fl studio desktop is too many windows. the mobile version is a single window (duh). ableton is a single window. reaper is mostly single window, but makes up for speed and customizability. reaper lacks ableton's session view, which is well worth the 99 bucks for ableton intro. session view is ideal for working on ideas, better than a linear timeline, like reaper (ableton also has) another problem with fl studio is how weird it is to do audio recording. ugh, even on the mobile version. adding clips later is not the same thing as recording, in time with the rest of your project.

Brilliant! Thank you so much. Your whole way of presenting exactly what is needed to make cool beats using Reaper is simply outstanding, perfect for me. Subscribing to your channel is more than a no-brainer, it's a real pleasure. I bought Reaper about three years ago but struggled with using it for recording due to, for me then, its apparent complexity getting in the way of my creative flow. I am 71 and play my kind of jazz guitar plus am learning to play the piano but really now just want to record some of my music compositions for posterity and to share my music with others as finished pieces. I have recently been considering going DAWless and buying the very tempting Tascam Model 12, not cheap. But that is at the cost of adding a new guitar to my studio kit, also badly needed. So your teaching has really resonated with me and seems to enable me to persevere with Reaper (awesome bit of kit) and buy that new guitar. That's pure magic right there. This means a whole heap to me, so have adopted your channel as my favourite go to for help and guidance. Again, thank you so much. Your teaching quality is off the scale.

Thank you for the kind words! Glad to have you aboard. With it's flexibility, REAPER can seem more complex when starting out but there are plenty of resources with great information out there. There is a learning curve, but practice makes perfect. As you continue to record, edit, and mix, you'll find that you will fly through songs much quicker. Very helpful, thanks for making an in-depth video. Just a small criticism, in future when you make beginner tutorials, you should make it with the default theme because with different themes, the buttons are gonna be in slightly different places and gonna look different so if someone is a beginner not only they wouldn't know what those buttons mean and since they've most likely just downloaded Reaper, they wouldn't be able to transfer the steps 1-1 from your custom theme to their default theme.

Great input. I recently found that multiple instances of REAPER can be installed (and run) on one machine via portable installations. I plan to set one up for beginner tutorials so that it has the appearance of a fresh install. I hope you were able to follow the majority of the tutorial despite the differences.

brother, your channel is sensational, congratulations for your work, I looked for this type of tutorial for a long time without much success, thanks for sharing, I mix in reaper. It's excellent, but it's a bit difficult for me to quantize and make dynamics with it, which is why I work more in Ableton. but I want to master reaper, thanks for teaching your knowledge

reaper is awesome, that's why. FL studio, for desktop sucks. Ableton is expensive, but it's awesome. Reaper is cheap and versatile and super stable and customizable and loads fast, and is limitless if you pay sixty bucks (or not, lol). FL studio mobile is great, tho, definitely worth the 13 bucks. the desktop version has too many windows. countless users have switched from logic or protools or sonar to reaper, not sure which daw you're tied to. ableton and reaper are enough.
