Hi Ashwath - Good question. While the processes, standards, policies & metadata management should ideally remain same for an organization, the difference could be how is metadata and data lineage collected due to complex nature of such systems. So, from the above, the process would remain the same - questions to ask would be - what is the metadata of the system? What is the lineage of Network monitoring system? What should be considered as a hop - server or application hosted by the server?, etc. This usually doesn't gets classified as a business process, but if there is a requirement (there can be in certain cases) to implement data governance for CTO systems, then the overall theme should remain the same and match the organisation's overall data governance strategy & processes.
