Thanks TEK P7 for your comment :) yes it took me time to go back to KZbin but a break was needed :D Enjoy the video!

Hello Maxime, nice to see you back on KZbin. Really interesting, I like the simulation result. If the cube is in the air as a starting point, is the simulation is working?

Hello Jean-Marie and thank you for your comment :) really appreciated ! Yes it will work, no need to use the snap mode, but it is better to put it on the ramp, because if you put it higher "in the air" you will have more inertia from the weight and you will not have the same result! Stay updated to see Part 2 and Part 3 ;)

Hi Maxime, thank you for this very useful video. I have a question regarding declaring weight. My assembly's "weight definition" is being shown as red(missing) even though on the tree structure, I can see "MeasureInertia" mentioning the mass of both of the parts of my assembly. I have even applied the material as aluminium. The two hyperlinks to declare weight on the element do not work as nothing is being displayed like you have shown in this video. Your help would be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Computed weight = 0 kg now, how do we fix this issue?
@MaximeChagnot4 жыл бұрын
Hello @@daniyalahmed684, thank you for your comment and sorry to hear that you encounter issues. First of all, you can forget the "measure inertia" this is different from B.I Essential, it is for a quick measurement to get on the tree. But not always fully updated. Therefore, you need to use Weight Definition in the Buisness Intelligence (B.I) Essentials. 1) The best is Computed weight, I recommend you to use a "CORE" material and make sure the density is NOT equal to 0kg/m3 in properties of material. The domains in the material are mandatory for dynamic simulation. So do not worry about them. When you have that, make sure the material is applied to the PART level and not the body level. Update and Save assembly. In B.I Weight Definiton, click on the assembly and you should have update icon. Color should be green. 2) For declared weight, you do not need material at all. click on part, then the panel appears and you can change value and close. The new weight should be taken into account. -> Conclusion: I recommend you the method 1. If you have issue with hyperlink... you should contact support (kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioGVfpema9Z8r8U). You can also verify your gpu driver (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnOuaJeti9mlgNE) and update to latest hotfix. Sorry that I cannot help more than that, Good luck, Maxime at PLM Technology.

This is a great video, thanks for posting. I used to be able to do this and have created some good stuff, BUT... recently trying to re-simulate any of my previous work and a new dynamic model, also your model imported from GrabCAD, I do not achieve weight definition as shown in the vid 8:19-9:19. Any ideas?

Hello sir.... Very nice video indeed for explanation of dynamic simulation. I have some problem near 9:14 seconds. Whatever maybe the model I'm creating it's showing missing (red color) when I use weight definition. can you guess what maybe the reason?

Hello, I want to do CFD analyse of fan can you make a video about it.

Hello Jayesh, Thank you for your comment, unfortunately, it is out of my skill, I recommend you to visit this community: www.3ds.com/products-services/simulia/communities/simulia-community/ you might find CFD video there. Good luck!

Thanks for this wonderful video. I did this simulation as per this video, but the cube is not stopping on the ramp edge it is falling down.. can u pls help me on this

Hi Arun and thank you for your kind comment! if you have different result, check the weight and that the contact is the same as in the video. Check that you have the correct solver as well! try 1s at the beginning then 2s. Also verify that you have the same "max penetration" value. Good luck!
