The last simulations are just amazing! I couldn't figure the difference between lines without them!

Prof. Naylor, I do not know how to thank you for preparing and sharing these valuable content. It clearly shows that you care about your students' understanding. The clip about pathline, streakline and streamline is AMAZING. I will never forget the definition of these terms.

Thanks a lot for this video!! I am a physics student and I had a really hard time visualizing and understanding the differences between these 3 lines in non-steady flow. Your video was really helpful thanks a lot!

How to make these simulation?
@FluidMatters2 жыл бұрын
The simulations are done using computational fluid dynamics, which are numerical solutions to the equations of fluid flow (Chapter 4). After the velocity field has been solved, the "post processor" usually offers various types of lines to visualize the flow. For example, mech eng students may have access to the Fluid Flow Simulation module of SolidWorks, which has these capabilities -- also ANSYS FLUENT, COMSOL, etc.
