super helpful - I think that between this and your "typical week" video, you convinced me not to pursue I-banking. But that is actually productive, so thanks!

Hi, what is the process in case the company you are doing due diligence on for M&A deal is private and therefore has no comparable, are their different valuation methodology used?
@HardCoreCAGaming4 жыл бұрын
You’d use an intrinsic method of valuation - Discounted Cash Flow. You’d basically value a company by its ability generate cash in the future and then discount it back to today’s $$$.

are there cases where investment banks fund LBOs? or is this only the role of PE companies/firms?

Is it okay to have a beard as intern/analyst or is this a no-no and only ok for VP/MD
@naasirramjaun64145 жыл бұрын
haha... I had a beard as an intern and after 2 weeks I was told by my Associate "its unprofessional" so I shaved it off, I regret doing that, because it was a weak move on my part. Granted i was new to investment banking and just started out as an intern... but I should have stood my ground.... maybe I should do a video on all of my regrets and recommendations...? what do you thing
@naasirramjaun64145 жыл бұрын
to answer your question, I don't know. It depends on who is going to interview you... Analysts and Associates are generally more young and liberal so they wont really mind the beard. But if you get one of those old classical MD or VP who is stuck in the past then you might want to play it safe.... its up to you... how important is your beard vs IB?
@naasirramjaun64145 жыл бұрын
clearly, I have a lot to say about this, so i'll just make a video about it next week
@martinklein11395 жыл бұрын
@@naasirramjaun6414 thank you for answering. I was thinking the same about taking an unnecessary risk for the interview. On the other hand I'm balding and my egghead almost screams for a beard. I don't want to look sick before I even got into IB. Does it change anything? Also, why do you now think he wouldn't have just fired you if you came with a beard the next day? I'd appreciate a video about your regrets and recommendations 👍

Hi ! When it comes to questions to ask interviewer, i read lots of things online but I wonder what type of question do people at bank prefer to be asked deal related ? Bank related ? Or perineal ? Because some of the ‘boxed answers’ are so deja vu and very common like what’s the culture, what made you work here etx...what’s your feedback on questions you like analyst to ask at the end ?
