Introduction to my astro journey

Looking forward to watching more Bob. Just came across your channel today having watched your Star Adventurer episode. I need to watch it again to try and understand the GOTO ‘system’ that you use. I’ve watched Kamil Pekala’s video and it lost me completely. Your’s is well paced and I’m going to try and give it a go. I started out with astrophotography in the Autumn of 2020 during COVID, having had a lifelong interest in astronomy and the night sky. Interestingly enough I too have a modified Canon 600D together with a Skywatcher 72ED refractor and the Samyang 135mm lens ( brilliant for the SWSA). I think the biggest drawback to this hobby is the UK weather. Thanks for sharing what you do 👍 I’m already familiar with the ‘rabbit hole’ you mention and am trying to resist buying more gear

Thanks Ian. Glad you liked the GoTo vid. I'm new to all this, just trying to fill in time between clear skies. It's been weeks now! The Samyang 135 is on my wishlist. I'm just installing a mini pc on the EQ6R-Pro to get it fully automated and portable. Looking forward to catching up with some of your channel content. Clear skies bud 🤞
