Introduction to Natural Emulsifier Olivem 1000

very nice. so far i am somewhat satisfied using just lecithin as emulsifier. no soaping effect whatsoever even with xanthan gum but it does give a somewhat shiny look on face.for a little bit. trying to use natural as much as possible and lecithin meets that requirement.

Lecithin is great for the skin! But yea quite heavy and smells a bit fishy in my opinion 😜 I think lecithin and Olivem 1000 would be a good match and will make the the cream absorb better :)

Hello! I am new to the channel, and I loved this fisrt video I just watched. I made a very nice and rich body cream with olivem 1000 and at the second time I added some olivem feel as a co emulsifier, and the soap efect was lower and it sprayed more easily! Hello from Brazil ❤

it is a co emulsifier, to soften the formulations! and what about olivem 900 for W/O emulsions? So easy to work with! I don't work for the company 😂, just DIY for myself... in Brazil it is not aproved for one to sell DIY cosmetics, because of the sanitary laws...to much burocracy and $$$...

Is it compatible with many preservatives? Like geogard 221, geogard ect or euxyl k 903?

When you say the oil phase is up to 30% does that mean in my formula the oil phase can’t exceed 30%?

Yes exactly! So your oils, butters and fatty alcohols should not exceed 30% of the formulation

It sure can and that's a great idea! You could use 5% Olivem 1000 and 1% Vitamin E Oil + Preservative and Water :)

I want to make an oil to milk cleanser and I am unsure if I can use olivem 1000 as the only other ingredient next to the oil selection ..have you tried this? what % of olivem 1000 do you think I should use for an oil cleanser formulation?

With Olivem 1000 it will be difficult to make an oil to milk cleanser but you could make a balm to cream cleanser - I actually have a video about it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6exeH5rfM1piMUsi=BJ3ZkdN033knPibk Does that help? 😊

I cannot say 100% as I haven't tried it but I think it will make soaping worse. However, you could try adding a low HLB emulsifier along with cetyl alcohol to counteract the soaping :)
