Dear thanks a lot for this.. I'm wondering if adding a few drops of your fav oil (jojoba) to your pea sized amount of regular gel based cleanser, be effective as well?
@OrganicAlchemist11 күн бұрын
Adding oil to gel based cleansers would make them less effective to remove dirt so if you want to make the cleanser more gentle yes but you will find that the gel based cleanser foams much less as a result and you will get a bit of a residue still. Also be careful if you want to use this mix on the eyes as gel based cleansers can be more irritating than pure vegetable oils. There is no right or wrong for this though, try it out and see if your skin likes it! :)
@virathiyam540111 күн бұрын
@@OrganicAlchemist Really appreciate your insight. Yes, makes sense. The gel cleanser would become less effective for it's intended purpose if we added oil. But my reason for asking was: if adding jojoba oil or other oil to a regular water based cleanser can make it more effective in cleaning oil based makeup and water resistant sunscreen etc. making the water based cleanser behave more like a dedicated oil cleanser given the cleanser has some oil emulsifying agents in the formulation. i.e for the first cleanse of the double cleanse. Nowhere near a replacement for a quality oil cleanser. But could it be handy if you suddenly run out of it?
@OrganicAlchemist11 күн бұрын
@@virathiyam5401 Ah I see now your reasoning! I still think you're better off using any oil on your face first because oil will be more effective at dissolving that stubborn waterproof sunscreen (like dissolves like). Then rinse off, then follow it up with a cleanser to remove any residue. But it doesn't hurt to try, maybe you're onto something new 😉Let me know your findings if you experiment with this, i'm curious to know! 🙂

Why does th moisturizer I made feel oily in the skin? How to fix it?
@OrganicAlchemist25 күн бұрын
This would be because of the Olivem 900 It is good for dry skin and to remove the soaping effect but it can feel a bit heavy. You can try lowering the amount of Olivem 900 to 0.25% or remove it completely.

Could I swap jojoba oil for the broccoli seed? And what about glyceryl caprylate for coco caprylate?
@OrganicAlchemist25 күн бұрын
Yes broccoli seed oil would be a lovely swap! However glyceryl caprylate and coco caprylate cannot be swapped. They sound so similar but behave very differently. Coco caprylate is an ultra light silicone like oil and Glyceryl caprylate is like a paste and has refatting properties. To substitute coco caprylate look for another light oil ester like: - Isoamyl Laurate - Undecanes, Tridecanes - Olicone (Hydrogenated Ethylhexyl Olivate, Hydrogenated Olive Oil Unsaponifiables)

@OrganicAlchemist2 ай бұрын
Thank you for saying 😊 sure you can also leave it on your skin, it will be moisturising because of the glycerin and oils but it doesn’t have much water in it so maybe it’s not very hydrating. That being said, I also have a video for a body bronzer gel using Sucragel and I really like the skin feel of it!

Will this formula work with butters( cocoa, shea, lanolin also)?
@OrganicAlchemist2 ай бұрын
Yes it will, you simply need to heat both phases gently to incorporate the butters in sapogel. Not sure 100% if it’s compatible with lanolin but I think there’s good chances it would be.

@OrganicAlchemist2 ай бұрын
Lovely, would love to know what you think of it☺I agree with you the soaping really put me off for a while but now I found a way to formulate it in a cream so that the soaping is much less. It's all about combining it with other ingredients that increase slip and now I'm in love with the skin feel Olivem 1000 provides 😍 Will post the formula on a brand new patreon page end of the month in case you're interested :)
@monikawojciechowska89642 ай бұрын
@@OrganicAlchemist that would be great 🥰 I love olivem 1000 too it's very stable and moisturising plus it has a nice skin feel, I have just always found the process of reducing its soapiness very draining and felt like the main function of my ingredients is to reduce soapiness rather than serve their purpose in the product, for example anti-ageing etc. But again I haven't spent much time tweaking my formula, I'm sure you've come up with something, your formulations and videos are great 🌺

No soaping but yes it is a bit oily. Good for very dry skin in winter but it seems you want something lighter 😉 I recommend you try the exfoliating lotion. You can leave out the ACB Fruitmix if you don’t want this ingredient, then you just have a light lotion. I am working on a light aloe vera lotion with no soaping and it will come out soon ♥️

Which squalene did you use it ? Olive or neossence squalene ? And does it have greasy effect ?
@OrganicAlchemist3 ай бұрын
I used olive squalane but it should be the same if not better with Neossance :) Yes it can be bit greasy because it’s a lot of oils in it but I find it nicer than using 100% oils because of the Sucragel. It also absorbs quite fast into the skin

It’s definitely not lightweight like a lotion but 2-3 minutes after applying the skin feels soft and not greasy. If you find it too greasy you could always decrease the mango butter and increase the oil % instead. Hope you give it a try and let me know what you think 😊

@@OrganicAlchemist so , greasy effect by mango butter not montanov 68 ? I thought that by mantanov so asked you pretty 🥹♥️and if i use oil instead butter , this won’t affect stability of emulsifier ?
@OrganicAlchemist3 ай бұрын
Montanov 68 is used to make richer creams yes but in itself it doesn't feel so greasy. You could only use oil but then you won't have this texture. Mango Butter and Glyceryl Stearate is most likely contributing to greasiness. The formula still has 61% water so definitely feels lighter than other body butters. Give it a try then you can adjust to your liking! :)
