This series could be gold, but acknowledging it is tough to be the author of basic concepts which don't interest or challenge someone who already has experience... And the problem with database lore is that it actually smushes together several concepts that are of interest to different folks. So in this case the platform (postgresql), the GUI (gpadmin), the query language (SQL), and the sample types e.g. sales, inventory, etc. Seeing this channel has had a wild ride to date with many videos that are kind of all over the map. For myself, would love this series, my kind of pace & clarity. Recognising there are others already out there, e.g. freecodecamp etc, but that's not the point. The people who were watching the start of this 2 years ago are already experienced now, so the viewership now is a new crop?

Thanks for the comment, this is very useful feedback for me. It's hard to choose a domain for an introductory series that is commonly understood but not boring! Yeah, my channel has been a bit all over the map recently. I've been experimenting a bit with the kinds of videos I create, to see what people find interesting and what people don't like. Glad to hear you like this series and want to see it continue. I think it would be a new viewership, yes. Someone who comes across this video (and others in the series) now would hopefully watch these videos and then move on to other channels. But if I have 10 in this series, they could watch all 10. Are there any other things you'd like to see on this channel?

@@DatabaseStar Great! My background - I am trying to learn a professional level db so it can be used for work but also a personal project. Strong enough it won't bog down with large numbers of records. GIS, so via postgis enabled mapping of items. Relational so that specific things can be tracked in basic tables and evolve in complexity when I have time and more skill. E.g. journalling that relates people places & events. Basically a second brain that ultimately would remember everything with precision. So queries might be able to slice the data by person - list of interactions. Place - who I met in London. Time - what I was doing on July 19.
