Stay legal! He is just using the keyboard, so you don't need a license to do what is shown in this video. It's all free

I know this is the opposite of what most people want but is there a way to stop the song from continuing to play when I hit the scratch pad? I don't want to scratch over top of the music I want it to scratch wherever the play head is and then resume playing.

Hi @terrorfirmasky ☺️👋 That's a really good question. I'm guessing if you combine the hot cues with the scratch DNA, it would work but I'm not sure. I'm currently researching VDJ pads for the next video, I'll try and see if there's a pad that can combine the hot cues with the scratch DNA, if not, then I'll come up with a custom mapping to perform the action. Why are my scratches over the song instead of stopping the song like yours What didnt you show us??????

Hi @BRDSTA 👋 When you activate scratch while the song is playing, it will result in scratching over the song. In the demo from the video, I activate the scratch when the song is stopped. However I do understand what your trying to do and I'll cover this topic in a future video but just to give you a heads up of the process; what you need to do is clone the song to the second deck and pause it so that you can then activate the scratch DNA. All this can be done with a good custom mapping script. Keep an eye out for the next scratch tutorial video, I'll explain everything. Happy holidays from Young Simba Empire 😊
