I have watched a ton of lectures on technical subjects. But none come close to the level of simplicity and amount of knowledge that is seen in videos of Neso Academy. This shows the level of efforts put into creating these lectures. Thanks for everything. I would request all people benefitting from the lectures to like, comment and share these lectures. This is the least we can do.

I'm sorry to be the person who complains. The bulk of these lectures are correct, but there are silly mistakes in just enough places that you have to extremely careful. In this introductory lecture the point made under the last section on "equivalent nodes" is wrong (clarification: the second half of rule 5). A quick way to see this is that the line exiting downward without touching the summing point would carry the same signal coming in from the left. After being connected to the summer [sic] "equivalently" it now carries the sum of two signals. Hence disproving the equivalency. Also point 2 of the same section says that "take-off points are equivalent to a node". This is well intended but also incorrect. SFGs can undergo graphical simplification methods and any node which is a pure take off point can be substituted with a series of paths. What he is trying to get at is that-- to confirm that the SFG is yielding the same thing as ODE block diagrams, its good to preserve the nodes just ahead of integrators so one can compare the ODE to the SFG (typically by comparing the ODE's state transition matrix to the gains predicted by the SFG on a term by term basis). However, when using pure SFG analysis, it's best to use a graph simplification. Lessons beyond this one also have minor errors. So it's well worth hearing these lectures because the verbal descriptions are lucid and worth copying. But keep your wits about you and do not blindly agree with the examples being given.

sir is it possible to join 2 summing points and convert them to a single node? like 2 summing points beside each other in a block diagram
@PunmasterSTP3 жыл бұрын
I think that's perfectly valid! In general, I think that if there is only one branch connecting two nodes with unity gain, then those two nodes can be combined. Like in a circuit diagram, where two nodes are directly connected to each other via a wire; they're really just a single node...
