Oh I’ve tried the Siser easysubli and I cannot get the backing off of it plus I had a terrible time of weeding it it was so hard to weed. Could you give me any ideas as to why this happened? Like different things maybe the temperature I stored it at etc.... Char

How is this any different than using a plain color printer and printing onto printable vinyl? Nothing is sublimated here other than using sublimation inks but the sublimation process has never happened.

Printable vinyl will not work with a water based or toner ink printer. If you happen to get the design to transfer over it will wash right off.

What if you dont have a sublimation printer but have pre printed infusible inks and sublimation sheeting that you want to add to the Siser EasySubli? I work with 100% cotton which scorches very easily so double heating is a concern. What recommendations do you have for heating time for applying the blank subli vinyl to the article of clothing then applying then heating the sublimation image on the easy Subli? Unacceptable answers are 1) “get a sublimation printer” i am not a millionaire and even $200 is like a million dollars to me. 2) get someone else to print onto said easySubli (there is no one else and i cant pay for it. 3) you can’t. Please give details as to how long to apply blank and temp and how long to heat apply ink and temp. Very much appreciate it. Thank you.

what can you offer to those of us who can't afford the very expensive Sawgrass printers? My plan is to convert an epson 7710. I also have a cricut maker but hope to purchase a Silhouette Cameo next spring when they come out with the larger size.

With an image that will need to be cut, I’m assuming it shouldn’t be an image that has special effects...like smoke, flames, sparks, etc, right? I think It’s hard to explain when I don’t have an example. However, I’m guessing if the image can’t be easily cut out, I should just press the whole sheet, right?

You may want to add a border around your effects or for example if you are going on a black shirt maybe add black border around the effects and cut around that border so when it is pressed on the shirt the black will not be as noticeable and now you have something to cut instead of leaving the full white background or box from the sheet.

I can’t get the ink to dry enough and always gets ink on my Cricut rollers. I put under my heat press. How long does it need to dry? Help!

Hi Jill, The ink should cure under the hot heat press for about 1 minute. Be sure not to exceed 311degF. Then let the vinyl sit to dry on its own. Since room temperature, humidity, etc. will vary, we recommend letting it sit for 1-2 hours.

Yes, wait at least 2 hours before using the printed EasySubli vinyl within your cutter. You could also place the printed EasySubli vinyl, print face up under your heat press for 1-2 minutes before using. The ink could smear if not dry.

Here are some tips to try when the mask won't adhere to the easysubli vinyl. 1. Check cut force to make sure not cutting too deep into the carrier backing leaving a score mark the EasySubli® may get pinched into or latch on to making masking difficult. 2. Do not use a squeegee when applying the mask, use palm of hand and rub hand over mask in same direction. 3. Once mask is properly on, let sit for a few minutes to let the mask bond with the EasySubli®. 4. If the design is one piece it can be picked up and placed on the garment. 5. Make sure the heat press does not exceed 311F when the ink is drying.

Hi, EasySubli requires sublimation inks for printing. We do not carry Starcraft, but it is our understanding that a regular inkjet printer works with it.

If you already have the VPM downloaded you will need to set the option for Siser so you receive the easysubli print profile. you should have the VPM loaded at the bottom right corner of your computer screen right click on it go to options edition type in Siser this will create a new profile for you

If you are using the Sawgrass printer with Sublijet inks, you will want to select heat transfer vinyl as your substrate. You will also want to put the vinyl under a hot heat press (do not close) for 1 minute to cure, and then let it dry for 1-2 hours before cutting it.

When working with your silhouette cameo, you will be able to contour cut around a printed image. There are a few papers / vinyl on the market that can do this, but this system allows you to work with sublimation ink and print directly on the vinyl. Other printable vinyls in the market require eco solvent or solvent printers which could be very costly. If you are doing solid shapes you can remove the Easysubli from the sheet and transfer it by hand to your garment. Otherwise, if the image has multiple pieces, cuts, etc, the mask is necessary to transfer to the shirt.

Approx. how many sheets can you print from one set of ink?

There is not a set number of sheets as ink usage can vary greatly from designs to design sizes. It should take a few months before you run out of ink and it is very rare to run out of all inks at the same time.

SubliJet HD can be used on the EasySubli vinyl, however the optimal output can be achieved using the EasySubli inkset in conjunction with the instructions provided by Siser and the custom profile in Sawgrass VPM 6.5. Some shift in color may occur when using Sublijet HD inks.
