Hi Rishin, I had faced the same issue i.e. the pen pointer does not get captured in Camtasia screen recording software. It works in Bandicam screen recording software with OneNote 2016.

there is a possibility that something wrong with the pen but your computer might be slow or old as well. my friend had the same issue and he removed some apps, clean the computer and solved the problem. If you still have the problem change the note taking software. test the pen with some basic drawing apps like microsoft paint.

I am using Corel screen capture. It is a full package with corel VideoStudio x7. I know most full version screen recorders have cursor settings. For example you can try icecream screen recorder.

This is essentially what I am using in the post Covid world of education, along with google classroom, and recording quicktime screen movies I am able to teach lessons and create answer keys for assignments. Not interactive but aligns perfectly with my program. Its great because if you have "Office" you have One Note, and the Wacom Tablets (or others) are quite affordable. As a Mac user quick time is native to my platform.

thank you for the great info... I have a XP-Pen Star G640 (I think- it's 6 x 4 inches) and have been using it for 3 years. I like it a lot. I use it at home for videos (usually use Corel Painter ), and for online teaching (with ms paint...keeping it simple). I'm assuming that it can do a lot more artistically and functionally than I ever have tried to do (it has different nibs I have never tried to use), so maybe I bought more than I needed.

As a online teacher, I used Microsoft Word drawing and Microsoft Teams to work math problems out. But, using the mouse to write with is difficult at times. Does this device works with Microsoft Word or Microsoft Teams whiteboard? I'm just a little confused as to its functionality. i am using xp pen for 3 years and the only problem is the pen can be damaged easily. the tablet is great. wacom has a better quality but more expensive. mine is 8x5 inches and i beleive it is the best size. smaller ones makes it hard to write in all parts of the tablet. and you dint need the big ones. they are generally designed for designing purposes.

I have used an A3 sized tablet with One note, and it works well. I would suggest using a short throw wide angle projector in the classroom-you can then use the whole wall. Electronic whiteboards tend to have low resolution, small area to work in.

Hello, this is an XP-Pen Star 05. I used it with windows 10 for 2 years and it still works like a charm. The only problem is the pen can be damaged easily. Do not drop it often. The device is cheap but it has a good quality.

First, you need a pen tablet like this in the video. This is an XP-Pen Star05. It has better versions now. Second, you need a software, I used OneNote. Third, You need a screen recorder program. Fourth, The program should also record your voice or you need to record your voice seperately. Fifth, if you record your voice seperately, you need to merge your voice and screen recorder in an app. I use Corel Video Studio X7 for this. You can also crop or edit your screen recorder in this app or in any video editing app.

It is a common problem in Onenote and in some other note taking software. There is no in-software settings to solve this problem. However, you can use other note taking software like pdf annotator. Screen recorder is important. Some allows you to capture the cursor. I think it was Corel Screen Cap but I am not sure bcz it was 2 years ago. However software is also important. Some software allows you to do that as well. I will review a software pdf annotator in a few days and I recommend you to watch that video.

@@MathMathX I am using obs screen recorder When I move the mouse, my cursor is recorded. But when I write on the writing pad, it is not recorded. If you have some name for sreen recorder which can solve my problem so please massege me. And thanks for your reply 😊

There is Icecream screen recorder. It records it. It also has some settings aboit the cursor you definitely can change.

You seem to write so well using the tablet...does that come with practice, or is there a text correction software you are using? My writing looks like a first grader! On paper I have very good handwriting... Any tips or tricks you care to share?

Hi Henry, it is just practice. If you check my channel you will see a lot of videos about graphics tablets, I am pretty experienced with these devices. If you just start using, I recommend you to practice for one week and try writing without looking at the tablet. Hopefully you will get used to it soon.

Just got my Huion Dial pad, and trying to figure out every trick to writing. I like your advice regarding one note. Also experimenting with MS Whiteboard, as well. Tablet slate is good for writing short phrases. Hard to pick the point where u left off, so u can't write long stuff.

Try using different software. If you see the cursor easily, you can catch up.

@@MathMathX , I have tried Windows Onenote, Journal, PDF annotation using Wacom slate. Problem is not in software...they show the cursor on screen. But inconvenient is the precisely getting back to the exact place from where I left off and the line orientation etc, by moving my hand around on slate's surface while keeping my eyes on the laptop screen. I realise we need the visual feedback and writing place at the SAME location- what is offered by a physical paper or blackboard.

There are two one note apps. One with the year. Like OneNote 2016. You can set it there. But if it says onenote 365 or just onenote, you cannot do that.

@@caminfly You can also use a pdf annotator. Nost of them free and you can set an a4 size paper. I explained in my other videos you can check it. I is my video for ONLINE LIVE TEACHING. I will also specifically CREATE a video about that.
