Introduction to the Extended Mind hypothesis

A better question is: Why is an extended mind, along with 4E cognition overall (and the bundle theory of mind, dividiualism, etc), so common in the anthropological literature and arguably in many of the oldest texts but uncommon in the cultural ideologies and subjective experience of modern WEIRDos?
