This is a video meant to introduce you to the sounds in the Tlingit language using images and repeating audio. If you want to start learning Tlingit, then repeat the words and look at the image. Repetition and memorization is the key to language learning. Good luck! I gu.aa yáxh x'wán!

Yes. The accent mark over the vowels indicate high tone. There are two tones, low and high.

The inland Tlingit dialects replace the "w" sound with an "m" in many words. The maple leaf represents the inland (British Columbia) dialect, I assume.

the 'l' is almost impossible to pronounce. how you do that?

+TommiTommiABC think of kind of an 'l' and a 't' and an 'h' all together. You want to hold your tongue high and flat like making an l, but also lightly touch the tip of your tongue to the ridge behind your teeth on the roof of your mouth, and this position should pull your tongue back in your mouth in a way that gets that hint of 'h' hiss. source - I'm a linguistics undergrad, and I loved my phonetics coursework. I am enamored with sounds that are foreign and hard to produce for native english speakers.
