This talking about SFB Online upgrade to TEAMs ? These upgrade and comanaged options do not apply to SFB On prem or non O365 exchange Mailboxes (on prem exchange) ????

It appears most of this is Skype ONLINE to Teams. Behavior (like indicators and integration) appear to only work if using Skype Online, not Skype on prem.

The video will need to be updated to reflect interop escalation for a Teams user sharing desktop with Skype for Business user. In the video they said this scenario isn't possible only vice versa. However, now you can actually do this and the same interop escalation experience happens where the user Teams user initiating the screen share with be put into a meeting and the Skype for Business user will receive a message in the chat with a link to the meet now meeting.

They're all complicated bullshit about nothing. We are a small SW company that works for several large corporate customers. We have been using MS Teams internally for many months. Our customers use heavily Lync Skype for Bussiness and they will not switch to Teams in terms dictated by Microsoft for us. I do not need and cannot create any implementation teams. All I need is the ability to communicate with corporate customers using Lync and Skype for Bussiness. Throughout the complex system of articles and videos, I miss a few simple questions: 1. Will the Teams client be able to work fully with Lync and SfB servers (including desktop and file sharing)? 2. If so, when? Why does Microsoft force me to switch to a communications client that is not a full-fledged SfB replacement? 3. If the Teams client is unable to perform node 1 functions, how do I communicate with Lync and SfB customers?

Hello and thank you for this feedback. Yes you can communicate with Lync and SfB customers via Teams. You can find more in our product documentation at aka.ms/SuccessWithTeams or reach out to our FastTrack teams that will help you with your technical deployment for free. I suggest you start with the Upgrade from SfB to Teams segment of the documentation which is here: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/MicrosoftTeams/upgrade-start-here
