The 2 best tips for downwind Foiling are in this video. Game changers! 1. Follow the bumps in front of you. 2. Constant “Angling” while riding the waves- to keep speed and momentum up. Riding anywhere from 5-45 degrees. Just like with traditional surfing, you’re always riding at an angle on a wave. In the energy. The same applies to foil Downwinding open ocean or bay swells. Thank you Voyager foiler for sharing this informational Downwind video. We are looking foward to more. 🤙🏽

I got the Feet way more in front... Coming from Pumpfoiling its hard to get the backfoot over the mast! even when riding waves i need to push so hard to not breach...? Would u sugest a samller foil, or what is this? Thanks and gold infos as always 🤙🏽

probably from pump foiling, you have a small board with little liters nd a giant wing to pump and give you glide. the prone boards are a little bigger, so your stance doesn't need to be forward of the mast to keep it down. back foot over the mast gives you stronger drive when pumping.

So good! What size board are you riding and how are you getting up? Tow assist? If towed, why don't u go with a smaller board?

this is 4'4 prone board. we use a wave in the surf lineup to chip in up at the top, pump out to the windline and make our way down the coast.
