Sadly, it was CGI that destroyed their company IntroVision.

@@mitrooper As great as this technique is, it has a major problem compared to green screen : you have to plan about those background in advance and don't allow to change stuff midway. Quite the same problem you have with the tech used in The Mandalorian with their LCD background. In the other side, character integration through that technique works way better than green/blue screen specially from those decades (and still used in 1993 for the movie The Fugitive).

That’s how they should use some Stop Motion Animated Dinosaurs 🦖 🦕🦣 and A Giant Ape 🦍 on the Miniature Sets for the film 🎞 sequel in the 1980’s called The Goonies 2 (that the film 🎞 sequel never 👎 got off the ground back then in the mid or late 80’s)

Too bad it was defeated by digital compositing
