Hello friends, Here I share the first video of the channel :), is a bit long, but is that in the end I spent quite some time with the bike.
I have mounted new covers Comander II and also I have checked the brakes of my intruder vs 1400. I hope it can be useful to someone.

I have always been curious on how to separate the rear wheel from the shaft drive. It's not as bad as I thought it would be. I still have quite a bit of thread left on my rear tire but thanks to this video, when the time comes to change the tire I'll be able to save some money by removing the rear wheel myself. Thank you for sharing the procedure with us.

I have pulled both rear wheels off my two bikes, the 1400 just to replace the intertube after a picked up a nail, also I took out the one off the 800 to replace the tire. I was able to pull the wheel off on both without taking the driveshaft off, don't remember what I did but it worked and save me some of the work. Good video brother, thank you!

I run the Avon or Metzler tires on my VS1400... in the 200 x 15 size. They Perform Great, and LOOK GREAT !! And the 200 is just a bit taller, so it gives better mileage. And I ride 'aggressive' including twisty mountain roads... and have never had slippage or a felling of anything but sure-footed grip.

Hello, the video is very good because in addition to demonstrating how to do the exchange of tires at the same time is tnatural and demonstrates all the eroos we commit when we do not have much experience, and this is good because we learned a lot and we can see the difficulties with the which we will deal with. Congratulations and you have one more follower, because I have a motorcycle and I will replace the brake pads in the next days. During the winter I will change the rims and spokes but still do not know where to find them in steel or stainless steel. Do you have any suggestions? greetings José António Fernandes Portugal

hi there, I owe you an apology. when you were refitting the rear wheel, I was shouting at you, don't forget the shaft spacer, don't forget the wheel spacer, don't forget the brake caliper bracket, don't forget to grease everything. lol, I'm shouting and laughing 😂 at the same time, as if I was doing it myself. hahaha. great job, but I thought the rear brake pads looked pretty good, but I suppose I would have changed them as well at the same time, it just makes more sense. lol 😁 👍 👍 👍

Hi! I see You had Pirelli MT66 Route on front. I'm going to buy MT66 for my VS1400 - both: front and rear. How do You think - is this good idea, or not? I know that Commander II are one of the best (or even just "the best") tires in this time, but I like the look of MT66 very much! (this "PIRELLI" on the side wall...I love it!) Do You have any comment to this MT66? Thanx 4 your opinion!

This should be labeled as How NOT to remove your rear wheel! There is no need to loosen/remove the final drive or the shock to get the rear wheel off! Please watch more videos OR look at a service manual to save yourselves a ton of work and time!!!

I ran into this vid and said to myself... another guy that doesn't know how to read a manual. You do NOT NOT NOT have to remove the drive shaft housing to remove the rear wheel of an Intruder 1400. I own 2 of them; a 1987 and a 2000. I've change tires about 10 times total between the bikes. You remove the brake caliper assembly, the axle and spacer ... and nothing else; and I mean NOTHING else, and that includes the shocks... BOTH of them. That's why there is the wider spacer on the right side of the wheel. This will allow you clearance to slide the tire over to the right 'releasing' it from the shaft housing drive gears. Think about it... would the Japs design a bike that you would have take the whole rear end off just to change a tire ???? That is something Harley would do- the Japanese know better. This vid needs to be taken down. I know you're trying to help people but... you're not helping anybody. The next time I do a rear tire change... I'll post a vid. Ride safe everybody.
