I played it too.... My tarantula, cats, dogs , parakeets, slaves, pigs, coyotes and grandfather , mother, brothers, sisters and my entire cult about cheese all died to death in my arms and I ended up fighting Morshu and was annihilated by a planet destroying blast 2.5832963291 seconds after I finished the first chapter.

The game you were talking about with Depth and no Hide or whatever also has a very obvious mistake. The doors open in the direction of the handle, instead of opposite to it. Great job, couldn’t even get the physics of a door right.

I'm a little late to this party, but I used to play one of the creators' (Hillcrest Productions) other games. The fact that the same people who made The Royal Hillcrest, a roleplaying map I used to play and had a ton of fun in, also made Intrusion is both baffling and sad. The worst part is that Intrusion had the potential to be its own entity, yet it decided to capitalize on the success of Doors, especially with the name change. Oh yeah, I also remembered playing Doors Floor 2 with my friends while we were waiting for the OG Doors to get an update.

It's sad to see that roblox devs just copy other game's work just to make easy money instead of comming with a unique idea which looses the "build what you want" in roblox, which leads to poorly made games such as Alone or Intrusion being here or like bad simulator and bad tycoon games being in the frontpage. God how hard is it to just do something unique, that's literally one of the reasons people liked doors, because they hadn't seen something like it (on roblox at least) before. Your clones won't last because they copy something that they can't be better then, at least camping games and piggy games could be better or at least on par with the og because the bar was set very low at first and as such blew up along with the marketability they had. No one's sticking around for these clones because the og the good version is right there. Powering Imagination my ass.

with the goofy depth monster I remember a long time ago there was a team of people that made fake leaks on the Lsplash discord server and they actually made sounds and images for the monsters and also had screenshots of the game over Hud say 'u died to depth" only problem with it though was that all the game over screenshots had them die on the same floor. also there were too other monsters. one was called silence which was a black and white and had eyes with a static affect over it and greed which looked like eyes but purple and instead of eyes it was a giant mouth. it was really goofy ngl and i remember the first floor 2 knock off game (which may of actually been a normal fan game because it was the first) had the characters. just something i remembered i do think depth does have a goofy design honestly. i do have a sound affect that the hoaxers made for him and the sound is actually kinda cool as it sounded like a giant montser was taking steps towards u slowly.

This comment's a bit late but taking a concept and putting a unique spin or take on it tends to make it its own thing regardless of the original inspiration! Although I don't know how you would plan on doing it (nor if you could), the idea of having a doors-like game have incremental breaks in the formula by having you go outside onto a section of beach to maybe get something or fix something in order to progress inside the resort home would be a very nice change of pace!! And having the end being you being chased on the beach one final time while you rush to a boat or raft for escape would be nice as well. What makes all of these games rip offs is that they try to emulate Doors as closely as they can, but as long as the assets aren't horribly similar (hell, even though a resort is a glorified hotel the aesthetics alone are very different!), the monsters aren't extremely similar in design (even if they function similarly), etc. you should be fine. Plus, if you're worried, you can always label it as fan-made or inspired by doors. I think another thing that makes these games clearly rip offs, even if they say otherwise, is the abundance of game passes too. If you keep those to a minimum (Or make whatever you do have as cosmetic or not affecting the game play itself) you'll also be better off in that regard! Another idea unrelated to anything about rip off stuff: Can also have the lobby of the game be the lobby of the resort itself and have a "tip jar" on the counter so players can tip you! I don't know if that sorta stuff is shunned upon by the community though as im not in the roblox scene too horribly much. Regardless, I wish you luck in whatever projects you do!
