Why is no one talking about the actual quality of the dac/amp of these dongles? Everyone is praising the dsp but the quality of digital to analog conversion and proper amplification is a lot more important in my mind (I mostly listen to full size headphones). For example, I believe that no mater how good the dsp is, the dongle of this price is not going to give you the sound quality (at least tecnicalities, which is the most important for me) than a proper dac/amp (mojo 2 as an example)

I prefer having a DSP adapter rather than a straight up DSP cable. Makes it easier to use with multiple IEMs. Now if only another brand would do a good PEQ phone app other than Qudelix

I'm using bl03 without filters. Uptill no problem. Yeah bro I was using Poweramp but I tried USB audio player pro,it sounds more 3D and fuller compared to poweramp.

Interesting... Thou I'd like a set that sounds different but equally good with and without DSP. A set that turns to be fine just with DSP like the Dusk is a pass for me.

This is where the industry is going. A purist will say “oh, I don’t EQ”. But if it’s built into the DSP plug it somehow becomes acceptable to them. I say, whatever makes it sound its possible best. I think it’s only doing Parametric EQ to the sound. It’s also taking over the DAC function from the device. So if you already have a really good DAP, with a great DAC, that DAC won’t be the one doing the analogue conversion. That’s the downside. It might also be limited in the bit rate to 48KHz/24 bit, instead of 384KHz/32 bit for example. What it’s great for are phones of course. What is seriously lacking is the lack of a lightning version for more that 50% of the phones that are still out there. Nice set BTW. Looking forward to sound impressions

I have yet to try out a DSP and I don't EQ but that's just my preference. I would try a DSP if I won one but don't see myself purchasing one anytime soon. Great review as usual and keep it going!

hmm quite neutral signature, looking forward to full review. This maybe the time that DSP is getting pushed into mainstream sets actually to the point it competes with standard plugs and eventually becomes synonymous with "IEMs", and I'm not complaining its actually great and handy.

I've had my share of horror stories lending my IEM's to fellows and getting em back littered with ear gunk. Perhaps they're not aware of it, but I'd at least expect you wipe em clean before returning it. Saves me the disgust to clean em. But anywho, interesting set for a 1DD, but 260 bucks? I'm not so sure ngl. The non DSP measurement looks a lot like something coming from KZ

HBB would u recommend DSP cables or just EQing things. I been in hobby for almost a year now. I try not to EQ and go with the company tuning but my ears hear strange things sometimes and I think EQ can help…

The DSP dongle is very appealing. However I'm still looking for a universal USB dongle with a proper app that could fit several iem. Not having those moon drop or tachjim apps on the Google play store is very annoying. On the DSP side of things, it is also true that DSP can correct for more than FR, such as phase, but an iem should be design to mitigate those issues anyway. In other words, a DSP should not be used to correct design flaws.

I do not know if DSP on the cable is the best solution. In my experience it has never been. But things keep improving. Who knows ?

I feel the earphone should be well tuned with high quality drivers even in analog configuration. And then DSP can be applied to give the final touches not possible with physical tuning.

I think that a good dynamic driver (or maybe two) and a custom EQ for your ear canal is the best sounding experience you will ever have. But you must learn how to EQ and know how your ear canal affects the stock tuning. It's a journey not for everybody.

Linsoul may not trust you, but we all do! Keep on the great work! My issue with DSP is this... If the vendor wanted it to sound in a specific way, why didn't tune it that way to start way and forgo the DSP all together? IK it may be cheaper to tune it with DSP than spending the $ doing research and getting better components, but if something happens to the DSP cable you are f*ed.

Thanks for the unboxing. Looking forward to the review although not really interested in DSP because my main source is still an old Android phone with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. A comparison with iems in the same price bracket would be very appreciated.
