This is fantastic! I love landscapes, and abstracts. Many utilize a credit card to swipe, say different colors on the edge of the card. I think your technique is great because you can still achieve similar results. Debra Lyn, thank you for the suggestion of the hake brush! This is truly beautiful!😘💖

Thanks Liz…yeah I’ve used a palette knife before, credit card and a brush, all three are fun!

This is stunning!! Love the colours. I don't know you you manage to get end up with a muddy mess. Can I please ask: What paper did you use and how do you prevent it from curling?
@debralynrosenbachart2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I used Fabriano it’s fantastic paper. Although this paper did curl slightly as it was 25% cotton. Most of the time I use 100% cotton Fabriano. Not making mud takes time to learn how to not mix certain colors…work like a feather with your brush in those moment when you have to be careful.
@MsMoniqueWilson2 жыл бұрын
@@debralynrosenbachart Thank you so much. I can't believe that wasn't 100% cotton. I used Fabriano Artistico and really like it. I have trouble letting go...but I think I want try. It's just paper and paint right? :)
@debralynrosenbachart2 жыл бұрын
@@MsMoniqueWilson very true…it’s just paper…But I do know paper can be expensive but it could be worse, we could be dealing with the price of canvas.

I enjoy your videos and watching you paint. I tend to paint tight and can get tighter as I go along and would like to loosen up. Is it possible for you to do a "how to" type video where you kind of coach the viewer through a loose painting? Does that make sense?
@debralynrosenbachart2 жыл бұрын
Oooh careful what you ask for, that might be easier in a workshop. If I had a workshop, I would gather you all up and make you start your art by throwing paint on the paper, and build from the mess, and then in the middle of the process if I caught you getting tight I would come over and mess it up 😂…but it would be a fun laughing experience. To me art should not be stressful…it should be fun, passionate and about finding your personal style.

@@debralynrosenbachart Yeah. I guess it is almost something that has to be one in an in-person workshop, huh.😆
