Good show and me to. Brings back so many childhood memories and the difficulty's of the early days. The other kids would spend their money on this or that, I'd be looking over tackle. To pass on some of my experience to others on your channel, you can't beat quality, good enough is never enough. Keep passing on your knowledge to the next to come.

Been with you almost from the start and am so happy for you that it’s grown so much. I wouldn’t change a thing buddy! There’s no question on your vids that it’s REAL! That’s why people love your channel. You (along with Jonny) have improved my fishing immensely and I am so very grateful. I know 2021 was a tough one for you and you had to deal with some difficult losses, and yet you kept cranking out videos. Your character and integrity show in all you do. Here’s to a fantastic 2022. You deserve it. Looking forward to riding your wave into the future.

I consider them just deep diving crankbaits. Jerkbaits only have the chin bill and have a minnow profile and float.

If you don’t mind can you share your expertise on tunning jerkbaits or any other hard bait , would be very appreciated, thanks mr .Randy for all that u do too , I try tunning but sometimes I break my bait the bill cracks trying to get it to run straight

Couldn't help notice that the bill on the Megabass vision 110 + 2 is has been sanded and is no longer clear. Is that something you do to change up the look of the bait?

Another great video Randy! I've caught several smallies using a spoonbill Rebel on Norris Lake in East Tennessee. Not really sure what happened to my spoonbills?

Plus 2's are cool. They catch fish. Not digging the digging action. There is a better option, but it's a lot lighter. The sound also is not on par if you ask me.

Fishing for spots, Randy, what colors would you choose? Looking to buy my first Plus 2. I have a couple of 110 +1s. Thanks!

Spoonbill jerk baits are especially tiresome, especially digging down into the thick cold water !

I have a question about jerkbaits in general but it applies to this video more so. Jerkbaits suspend float or sink depending on the temperature. So with that said temperature changes the deeper you get. My question is when you are weighing your bait near the surface to visually see what its doing do we take in consideration what it going to do when it gets down say 10 foot. In other words will it slow sink near the surface and slow rise down 10 foot or something like that.

Merry Christmas Randy to you and your family. Before you I understood jerk baits or thought I did a little but never really had much luck. Which in turn meant I didn't have much confidence in them. The more I listen to ya the more confidence I have. Still don't have much much luck with them yet but my confidence is climbing. Thanks for all you do buddy and please keep it coming. Especially the mental Mondays!

Where does the Megabass DeepX 200T fit in? Do you ever fish that bait as a “deep jerk bait”?
@alfredgunter96142 жыл бұрын
Spoonbill rebels were my big fish baits back in the seventies. Those screw eyes would loosen up and never hold in place, so lots of adjusting at times. Great video Randy !

Too me the rogue is still a hard bait to get it to run true , I try tunning like crazy with it and some never runs true , love how you made those early baits suspend when they did not , I have some old favorites I’m going to try the sinker epoxy , thanks mr Randy

Thanks for the knowledge. I have a few of the plus 2’s for this winter. That cold is going around the world. Both wife and I have it here in Texas.

Some have a screw that’s easier but some are a clip made into the bill and that’s usually the ones I break

Love the stickbait history and knowledge. On the One Ten plus 2, is the retrieve more of a pull or twitch once you get it to depth?

You guys should definitely sign up for the jerkbait seminar. I did the advanced jerkbait seminar Randy and Jonny did last winter and it was fantastic! Unbelievable how much info they pack into a 3 hour session. I highly recommend it.

I’ve found the Duel Hardcore Shad 60/75mm are super under the radar. They are marked as suspending crank baits but are so thin with a thin bill that they can/should be fished as deep jerkbaits. Kind of a hybrid lure, I’ve been impressed with the components & consistency. Very tight action with little roll.

@@markh9567 try Megabass Destroyer landsat. same specs as whipsnake. this is a new upgraded line of megabass. the rod is lighter and more high end than the whipsnake. but, you also have to pay for that. I have 3 I use exclusively for jerk baits and love them. also can be used for drop shot and other techniques. F3-6'11".......1/16-3/8
