The invader kills on the cleans, and is tighter/punchier on the distorted parts.

Agreed. It had a lot of boomy lows, though, I replaced it with a pair of Duncan Solars (thanks to Marko Makinen) New comparison here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKiWn6Btar2VeMk

Yes, sure, you have both active and passive 8 string SD Invaders, just check their website! 👍👍 As for the Duncan Solars, no, they only come with Solar guitars. I got mine from a used one (the guitarist from the Finnish band Bloody Falls)

Invaders were definitely more balanced with distortion, not as bass heavy as the Jackons which made it sound muddy. Love the enhanced bass on the cleans thought, really nice overall.👌Very informative review!

Thank you very much, Raven! I sold my Invader, though, I wanted a punchier sound, better attack, now my JS227 has two Duncan Solars, which are similar to a tweaked '59 and a tweaked custom 5. I recorded a comparison video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKiWn6Btar2VeMk

Both are different. In fact if i had two of these one with stocks an oen with invaders, i'd probably use both to double/quadtrack guitar - the originals stock have less low end and more bite. However for the lead parts the invaders have the edge, we can see the harmnics of the notes your playing on the graph, ouuuh baby. hehe

Looking to upgrade to a Seymour Duncan Pegasus in the bridge, I’ve heard they should fit fine as it is but I wanna make sure before I buy. Did you have to do any additional routing or anything to make them fit?
@AleArzMusic3 жыл бұрын
Hi, no, absolutely no routings to install those pickups. The only thing that could not match may be the new pickup screws into the old mounting rings

I was a Invader user for 3years... it's a really good pickup. But there were some issue with clean channel ( Like really clean ). The only thing was biting me was clean channel... tough it was a good clean tone but I wanted that to be more clean... Now I've switched to Fishman Fluence Modern man this pups are really good... I've tried many other pickups... In my list For clean there would be PRS stock pickups, Strat Pickups and FF modern. for drity I would like Invader, FFM,

Hello, the sound improvement this guitar had with the bridge Invader installed was huge, but it definitely had too much output for my style, too boomy low end, especially while palm muting fast. In the end, I sold it and replaced it with Duncan Solar!

What capacitor did you use on both?
@AleArzMusic4 жыл бұрын
Hey man! 99% of the time I'm using .022 microfarads, since I'm always playing guitars equipped with humbuckers, so I'll get a brighter sound because of the higher cutoff of the frequencies! Feel free to experiment, though, some people like to use .033 uF, since they are somewhere in between .022 uF and .047 uF!

Hey man!! Should i buy jackson js32q for metallica songs?
@AleArzMusic3 жыл бұрын
Hello! It doesn't really depend on the guitar you play, it's definitely more a matter of using medium/high output pickups and particular gear. For example, here I'm mimicking Kill'em all's tone with a Solar and free plugins kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWnWZ5aXl617aKM However, Jackson guitars, especially the JS32 series, will do the trick
@dhruvagarwal3223 жыл бұрын
@@AleArzMusic i will buy marshall mg15cfx amp with it that’s it my gear is limited! So i meant for a 450$ guitar if it will give metal sound as expected! (with free software like amplitube) Thanks though keep rockin’🤘🤘
@AleArzMusic3 жыл бұрын
Alright. The Marshall you described is a small compact amp, so it may not be the best solution if you want to try to emulate Metallica's tone (they used both JCM800 and Mesa Boogies Dual Rectifiers). But, with amp sims like Amplitube, it will just work fine. You can upgrade the Dinky JS32Q with some original Seymour Duncan pickups, to get even more good tone out of your guitar
@patrickshannon1223 жыл бұрын
Js 32 are good for metallica stuff but. Jackson stock pick ups are average metal pick ups with a set of Seymour Duncan or EMG Pick ups would be a better upgrade for getting metallica sounds. Jackson stock pick ups are great for getting the sound almost to a metallica type tone.

@1337wafflezz3 жыл бұрын
I'm not an expert but imho I seriously don't think the Jacksons were wired, setup, and/or toned in right(I'm guessing straight from the factory). I know there can be some distinct differences between pickups but the differences shouldn't be THAT extreme. Pickups are usually really simple and as long as your base components are of at least decent quality you should be able to crank out some good sound. But hey, I could be wrong.
@AleArzMusic3 жыл бұрын
Hello Leet 🧇! Yes maybe they weren't properly setup from the factory, we're talking about the lowest end 7 string guitar Jackson produces, so it's totally possible! Thanks for commenting, I'm selling those pickups if anybody is interested!
