No idea about Dib and Gir but I know the voice actor for Zim it originally was really hard on his throat. The poor guy would lose his voice because of the strain. But from what I heard he used that voice with Skylanders when he played Kaos and it eventually got easier for him. I think through constant use he retained it.

I just watched this movie yesterday and I am impressed with how well they kept the feel the original show while keeping it as fun and entertaining as before.
