3:22 Fun-fact: Godzilla’s victory dance was thought up by Yoshio Tsuchiya, who also plays the leader of Planet X. This dance was based on the "shê" gag pose, a trademark of the character Iyami from "Osomatsu-kun," a popular manga at the time (ie, 1965) that was created by famous Japanese cartoonist Fujio Akatsuka. Known for being a joker on set, especially towards his American co-star, Nick Adams, Tsuchiya suggested the idea to special-effects director Eiji Tsuburaya. Tsuburaya, who also had a habit of including humor in his works and was supportive of anthropomorphizing his daikaiju, approved of the idea. Director Ishiro Honda, special-effects cinematographer Sadamasa Arikawa, and Godzilla suit-performer Haruo Nakajima all objected to the idea. Teruyoshi Nakano, assistant director of special-effects, said audiences were divided over the dance.

My boy Godzilla just straight bodied this guy, King Ghidorah is tough as crap like those giant boulders were almost nothing to the thing. But he gets slammed down when the king of the monsters goes leaping into him. Whether it was because of the lower gravity of the planet matters not, what matters is the fact that even if I were on the moon. Ain't no way I'm body slamming into a giant three headed monster but Godzilla is the monster of monsters.

These movies were STATE OF THE ART. The movies they are creating today do not have the scare the hell out of you element. The new Godzilla maker's should have consulted with TOHO,to create a better product
@sarahbelle813 жыл бұрын
...this scares you? Also, what the fuck do you mean "consult with toho"? That's what literally every director has to do in order to make a godzilla movie. Toho has to approve each one personally. Christ, have people gotten so caught up in their irrational hatred for modern movies that they're willing to call these absolute cash grabs state of the art? And no, the modern films are not cash grabs. They didn't have to bring godzilla back. Godzilla was popular in the west, but only as a caricature. The big green t rex that destroys tokyo. The makority of Americans didn't even know he was black instead of green, let alone WATCH the movies. The only reason so many goofy godzilla movies exist is for money. King kong vs godzilla 1962 was a hit, so they milked this franchise for all it was worth, and turned godzilla into a superhero for children. People like these movies BECAUSE they're awful. Also, 2014's roar alone was enough to give audiences the scares of their lives. Shin godzilla is the creepiest godzilla movie so far. Congratulations on making one of the most out of touch comments I've seen in a while.
@computertable37463 жыл бұрын
@@sarahbelle81 this movie is a work of art, and not saying the new godzilla movies are bad but they have many problems. For example, Godzilla is WAY too big. Like holy shit, what happened to 50 meters tall. Also hes obese lmao. Human characters somehow manage to be even less compelling and way more generic. Dont get me wrong, I like a lot of kaiju shit.
