I bought the xcarve pro 4x4 last month, is this machine really limited to this for inlays? The machine seems much more capable.

The limit is more with the bit vs the machine.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to merge two separate drawings please? I want to cut out an acoustic guitar so that it's perfectly symmetrical I have drawn one side and saved it then flipped it to create a mirror image. How do I combine the two separate drawings and merge them and remove the centre cut line? Any answers much appreciated, thanks

Yep! You can copy and paste a design inside of Easel and then mirror it to give you what you are looking for. To get rid of the center line you would need to add a rectangle with a depth of 0 to "mask" the line away. Also feel free to drop your question in our forums (discuss.inventables.com/), our community always has some great ideas!

@@inventables Thank you Brandon I'll 'ave a go. I actually did try to ask the question on a forum page but couldn't seem to find a way to start a thread?? Thanks again👍🏼

@@inventables Thanks Brandon, I have succeeded in the copy and paste but I can't find out how to select only or remove the centre lines or add the rectangle? Also I followed the link to the forum and I don't see anywhere that says "Ask a question" or "Start a thread"? Just loads of topics non of which are applicable. It would be a sensible addition. I may be being thick or just not reading it thoroughly? but I've never come across this problem before.

Sorry about that! There is a chance your design already has the graphics combined together so it will be hard to remove that center line. If thats the case you might need to put a thin rectangle on top of the center line and set the depth to 0 which will make it work like a mask. For the forum you should see "New Topic" on the top right, you'll probably need to setup a new account to it though. Sorry about the confusion!

I'm normally on the side of whomever makes the video when it comes to the internet trolls. And I'm def no troll. But this video is a whole lot longer than it needs to be. It also seems like this wasn't planned out or rehersed. Just a fly by the seat of your pants kind of thing. I realize its a live broadcast, but when you can't decide which way you want to achieve a task, it makes it rather hard to follow because you're bouncing around and not giving good clear direction. I would encourage you to check some other live stream instructables and see what you think they could improve on in their video, then maybe see if you have some similar things happening in your video. Then pick out the things you like about that video and see how you can incorporate them into yours. You obviously have the presence in front of the camera and you've got a good voice. Seems like maybe you just need a little planning ahead and a little bit of clear direction and I think you'll be great. Or maybe this was just an off day.
