Inventor Tips & Tricks - Create Contour Flanges from Contour Rolls

In this Autodesk Inventor video, Pete shows you how to create Contour Flanges from Contour Rolls using the powerful "Contour Flange" command. This tool is incredibly flexible and can create almost any shape you can think of for sheet metal parts.
Using this tool, you can easily model a Contour Flange from the end of a Contour Roll without extruding from the end of the roll. Try out this tip to save time and get more flexibility in your sheet metal modeling.

Bummer @martinfarrow2825, but it's best to design for manufacturability. You can still try this technique, but try creating separate solid bodies. Use the "Make Components" command to export these solids as parts and create the assembly all in one step. Often it is easier / more profitable for the shop to build complex sheet metal designs as separate pieces and the multi-body approach can make that easier for designers as well.
