during animating constraints displays the message "You can not apply a specific value. enter a different value" how to fix it?

You might be trying to apply a constraint that is impossible based on other constraints. Also there are times when you're working with curved surfaces or complex objects when the surface becomes too complicated for inventor. I have had the same message come up in the past and have had to change my design slightly.

My cog is rotating in the opposite direction, dont know why. Is it the constraints It starts from 0 to 30 sec even after I set thelimit at 10 sec

Try changing your degrees to negative this will cause it to rotate in the other direction.

+johnNYgoesLA You must be rotating the wrong angle constraint, or from a wrong plane

how do you create the rack?

its a simple extrude.. you just have to make sure that slots are the same distance apart as the slots on you wheel. To make all the slots, the easiest way is to just either use an array or copy and paste the slot pattern.

You jump in half way into your tutorial, not showing when or how you set up your planes to base the rotation off of, so therefore.....not useful.
