My father, Charles (Chuck) Brunk, was a traveling salesman and a model for Hyer back in late 1950s and 60s. The family home was on East Loula street just up from your grandparents house. When he was younger, in fact, he used to go swimming at your grandparents house! I used to have a Hyer catalog that included pictures of my dad modeling western wear and Hyer boots. I can still remember walking downtown from my grandparents house past the Hyer boot factory building. I wish you much success in continuing a great family heritage.

What an inspiring story! I'm sure Zach's great great grandfather would've been so proud of him. It's a bit of relief to see that American determination and grit are still alive in this younger generation. Definitely getting me a pair of Heyer boots!

Great story, always good to see a family member bringing back the family tradition! Best of luck. I happen to notice Hyer boots while shopping at Big R near me. Yeah, I have a lot of cowboy boots, and really dont need another pair………..but. I really was impressed with the way they were made, the packaging, and picture of Hyer of old. Now, im saving for yet, another pair of cowboy boots!
