Bunch of tips from a 400 hour player, if that means anything 1. Extra provisions at the end of a dungeon can and should be dropped for anything valuable, as buyback is absolutely nothing; 6 anti venom sell for less than 1 Cirtrine, so don’t discount it. 2. Buying extra torches, if not all, can allow you to Low Light Gaming, which often gives you more gold than what 4 torches cost you in the first place; especially with high scouting and proper routing, you could do half a dungeon comfortably at 0 light, and can dump the extra torches if need be. 3. Antiquarian and GraveRobber can give additional supplies, but don’t ever count on that to give you what you need; it CAN help, but it should only be used if there’s say, a Pile of Scrolls, Coral, or Effigy you want to snag. It’s an end of dungeon gamble for more loot, or something to use at the beginning to try and get a bit more money down the road (even though Trinket Scrounge is better for money) 4. Courtyard is a massive bitch, and carries nearly every issue around the sun; if you plan on one week-ing this place, don’t skimp on supplies and expect to take a hit to your cash flow for a bit. Use a map too, bc fuck that place lmfao. 5. Citrine is nearly worthless, it is bottom of the barrel and only stacks to 1250; that being said, most very common trinkets and common trinkets can be dropped or ignored if you get a stack of Citrine, since commons associated with a hero sell for 1125 at best. It’s so common that you’ll probably get at least one stack, but I only take it if there’s a free slot, and it’s the first to go besides provisions that I was forced to take and don’t need.

I really love one weeking the courtyard. Pack 2-3 stacks of shovels and look for wine crates. If youre lucky you can get 5-7 campfires. One weeking the countess does involve an entire inventory full (literally) so no loot :(

Tip for nerds: If you find your inventory innundated with loot, consider dropping any torches meant for blazing torch after snuffing mid battle; since you're already laden, you don't need the torches and can probs get by with what you have left
@quinnlee-miller97923 жыл бұрын
Additionally, while Citrine is worthless, it is always better than the buyback on your provisions; consider dropping any provisions at the end of the dungeon! Iirc, no stack of full provisions (which you shouldn't have anyway) match up
@theinnerlight80162 жыл бұрын
Good advice. I didn't even know there's a buyback for provisions. 👍
@hariman77273 жыл бұрын
Personally, I choose one or two things to focus on gathering during each expedition. If I need money, I focus on money, and gems. If I need the upgrade items, I will focus on those. The biggest thing for me is that I wait as long as possible to start dropping provision items, as the provisions often save a lot of damage and stress over time. I tend to only drop provisions at the last moment, when I am either very close to or after the final battle of a dungeon.

Honestly I just bring a few of basically all of the basic provisions except laudanum into every mission and just sequentially drop them as the inventory gets tighter because I've gotten all of the curio interactions but never remember which items to prioritize for them, an extra key or or herb never really leaves much of a dent in my finances and it's usually worth it when you already know what to use.

I'm not sure how "optimal" it is, but I found myself doing this lately: I run most of the dungeon without looting and when I'm done - I backtrack without a torch and pick everything I can carry with prioritising what I need. The only problem with this - it's tedious, a bit risky and requires you to nail the dungeon without a lot of stress and you may be screwed by not having enough food for the "phase two"(looting). So I don't know, I might dump this strategy.

@Technotoadnotafrog2 жыл бұрын
Cove wants herbs for the dead fish and shovels for the clams and barnacle chests. Ruins wants holy water for the urns, shovels for the glass cabinets, and herbs for the iron maiden and chemistry table. Warrens wants holy water for the piles of bones, bandages for the weapon racks, and herbs for the feeding trough and dining table. Weald wants antivenom for the lockboxes and dead trees, bandages for the spiderwebs, and shovels for the graves. Skeleton keys are useful everywhere, since locked chests are in every region and the keys also work on the glass cabinets in the Ruins and the lockboxes in the Weald.

Is it ever worth it to being laudanum? Don't think I have ever used it or even brought it. Maybe in champion/veteran dungeons it becomes worth it because there's more enemies that can do horror. But if I recall most horror attacks effect the whole party, so a single use antidote isn't very good

The items you buy at the start are still inventory management. The reason this one is a bit long is because it's an unedited run where I explain everything since there are a lot of different situations that don't have a single rule applied to them. Considering what the inventory looks like at the end I think the results speak for themselves. I've been doing my best to make shorter guides over the last couple of years.
