Trick in using Casio fx-570ES calculator. A faster way to obtain the adjoint, adjugate or adjunct of the transpose of a 4x4 (4 by 4) matrix. I believe this method is faster in obtaining the inverse matrix of a 4 by 4 matrix compared to manual calculation and most importantly it won't affect our marks as steps are included. Worth to try :)

We can do it by row operation. Reduce the matrix and its identity matrix to rref.

what if the determinant is 0? I cannot find the inverse

@@ahsingtv thanks!! the problem I had is that I had matrix 4 by 4 (with parameter) it was multiplied by matrix (3 unknown because one number was given and it equaled to something We had to figure amount of solutions depending on parameter a It was only one of the tasks on exam ;_; The other one was I had matrix X times matrix 3 by 3 equaled to matrix 3 by 3 - X
