I had to replay that sound about five times, and every time i could FEEL the sound, and about three of those times I looked off to the right despite knowing it was my headphones. How did they do it?

The sound design of this game is insane! I'm with a pair of terrible earphones and I could hear the freaking squeak of the floor while the player was walking and the jumpscares was out of my mind! Thanks for sharing these great stuff!! Kudos from Brazil!

The game is cool because it has quite a few of the popular scary elements from well known horror movies like Barbarian (old naked lady as the monster), Conjuring (the creepy dolls and clap clap sounds), the doll at 31:35 is somewhat similar to the one from Dead Silence, some elements from Blair Witch. Also the dev took some inspiration from PT with the small house that changes each time you interact with certain objects and the woman crying sound effect at 29:50 I'm pretty sure is from PT as well. The only thing I'm not a fan of are the cheap jumpscares and loud bangs...

[Spoilers?] I think what happened: The witch mother was seen doing magic stuff by a child and she killed the kid. The villagers found out and killed her. The spirit of the mother used the doll to blame the children that had been mean to her son. The son mutilated the children and the village was abandoned. Maybe he was killed by the villagers too or grew up alone?

If anyone is interested in the story, it goes like this: There was a village where a witch lived with her son. The witch warned her son to stay away from other people, as people tend to not like witches and the boy was too kind to be able to protect himself, but of course he went to play with other kids and the kids soon began bullying him. Then the villagers burned his mom alive, since, you know, witch, and so the kid first hid in the house and scared off the villagers using his late mom's reputation, and when he grew up - went on a rampage after those same bullies stole his doll Luka and reminded him of all the crap they did to him earlier. He kidnaped the children and forced them to play hide and seek with him, those who got caught got mutilated and their corpses dropped in front of their parents houses. Eventually that pissed villagers enough so they bolted the windows and doors of the supposed "warlock"'s house and burned it down along with the owner (that's why the game starts and ends with his house burning).

Fun fact: The fisherman's note at the beginning of the game is a reference to a song of one famous rock band in Russia, - Korol i Shut - Ribak (Fisherman). You can look it up; there's even a fan-made animation The note basically tells the same story as the song Very cool reference imo
