There's another piece of trivia in Alpha 1 thats always stuck with me cause I still genuinely don't know if its real or not, since the only example I could find was in one video. In 8-BitRyan's old playthrough of alpha 1 there was a part where it seemed like the players phone in their house started ringing, and then the game crashed. It's honestly baffled me cause I don't know what it is, Ryan doesn't really seem like the type to fake something like that for no reason. An explanation I can think of is maybe he stole the Neighbors phone and brought it to his house, and that started ringing for whatever reason, but I swear it definitely was the players phone. I also don't know if you can call your own phone from the neighbors, if you can that probably could explain it more Either way it kinda creeped me out when I saw it and who knows if its even intentional, it feels like some creepypasta stuff to have a spooky thing happen followed by a game crash lmao

If you press "8" you will reload the game like load button. that's mean you can press 7, and after this 8

Pre-Alpha and Alpha 1 are the best versions. Pre-Alpha for having scary music and a fast Neighbor and Alpha 1 for having a great ai and common Hello Neighbor elements

Theres this strange unused menu that can show up by pressing M, this unused menu appears until alpha 4 and it has a save and quit feature. Pressing it will quit but not save.

When i was playing pre alpha a very weird glitch happened that literally jumpscared me. After i glitched the neighbor to catch me inside my house i looked at my second monitor for like 3 seconds then left my house and the neighbor glitched himself on the fence and launched himself straight into my face

you don't uh, "feed the neighbor" the intended feature is to use them to cause him to slip, but they're very VERY broken

I get that the alpha 1 neighbor needs to be slow, but he’s so slow that I wonder if the infinite attention span is even worth it. Also, I find it hilarious that you get mad over the build actually being stable there for a bit, presume that was more of a joke though.

Omg, after i watched this i tried to investigate banana peels and i found out that you can slip on them if you use a normal banana and peeling it. No using pre peeled bananas in the halls! Uhh also the neighbor can slip on them but he uses 1 frame of the walk animation but frozen. And then if you slip on one he slips too and then gets stuck for a while.

This literally hapened to me yesterday. I was playing Alpha 1 and my game crashed, and me angry cuz it crashed right when I was about to open the basements, I click on "send report and close". The strange thing is that I notice that hello neighbor was still opened, and when I clicked it it left me where I was before the crash, just some puzzle steps before.

managed to crash the game when opening the basement on my second try but instead of a load button my menu glitched out lol also didnt know there was a proper pause menu in alpha 1 apparently you have to press M to get the menu and it looks pretty good

Just found this out but if you press number 8 on your keyboard it automatically reloads your game. My theory is hitting number 7 saves your game as i wasn't able to get the menu to pop up but it still saved my items Edit: I reopened my game and it still will show the load button
