#trending Gettysburg #ghosthunters #ghost #ghosttown #paranormal #haunted #urbex #exploring Inn at Lincoln Square is one of 4 buildings in the center of town that have been there since before the civil war & the infamous battle of Gettysburg. It was used as a field hospital and reports state that bodies were piled in the basement from the floor to the ceiling. Check out our investigation. Then we take a day trip to Centralia, PA (Silent Hill). Once a blossoming town of 2700 residents, now a ghost town left to burn from the ground below.

Qestern Marylander here! I love visiting Gettysburg! Also Sharpsburg, Maryland/ Antietam Battlefield . Antietam September 17,1862 was the single bloodiest one day battle of the Civil War. 23,000 causality on a single day! What many people don't know us that 8 women, 7 fought for the UNION.Two as young as 15 years of age. A dead Confederate woman was found on the Cornfield by a Massachusetts Burial party! Burnside Bridge is very haunted ! Bloody Lane and the Cornfield and the West Woods are all very active! Former Democrat Governor William Do b als Schafer made sure that the land around Antietam would be preserved from development.Thank God! Every December ,23,000 luminary bags are placed on the battlefield! To remember the fallen! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

I was thinking the same thing - that Sharpsburg is well preserved, while Gettysburg is so commercial. I've been to the Antietam luminary display twice and I highly recommend!

Gettsyburg is one of the best preserved civil war battlefields in my opinion. The battlefield itself is not at all commercial but very well protected and they are constantly making it more authentic via research. Little Round Top just opened up again to visitors after a lengthy restoration and they did an amazing job on it. The town has lots of options for vistors in terms of eating establishments and places to stay. I like Antietam and it is well worth the visit for Civil War buffs, but between the two I think Gettysburg has far more to offer for visitors. Glad both are protected!

This was a surprise to find you again after all of these years. Now you're in my neck of the woods. Gettysburg is gorgeous, my sister wanted to move there years back so I was checking out houses with her going into basements (flooded mostly) climbing down rotten staircases into wet, dank, cold cellars. I could feel the history in these homes. I also retired 5 miles away from Centralia 13 years ago. Glad you're back, we always watched TAPS until you stopped your programming. I thought your name sounded familiar. Someone is shocked at the garbage left in Centralia, you can find garbage all over this county strewn about this is how it is here. It's changing since I moved here, slowly. By that I mean it's getting better than when I first moved here from Philly.

I love when Gettysburg is checked for paranormal. My 4 time great mother was Belle (Isabelle) Gettys. She was the daughter of William . Her uncles James set up the town. One piece of info is that after the war the government claimed imminent domain over a lot of land. A lot of family moved out of the area because of this situation. That little bit of information is not made wildly public. I’ve seen it mentioned once in an article but the way it’s worded sounds like it was no big deal. Oh when they came to USA their name was Gettis.love you show!

Hello Jason and JV I love that you’re here on KZbin and doing little investigations! I’ve been a fan for years. I love that you are genuine and trust you above these silly kids who bring disrespect to the paranormal community. I’d like to make a few suggestions as a viewer if I may? When you’re doing investigations, would you be able to sit quietly in a room for a while instead of moving around and standing? There’s a lot of contamination from your footsteps in your episodes and I know you guys would understand that. A good idea at this place would have been, perhaps to sit quietly in the cellar and read the Gettysburg Address, then see if you got any phenomena. Trusted digital recorders would have been an idea too. I’m not criticising, I absolutely adore you guys, I just think sitting quietly, even if you don’t get evidence, would be better from a viewers perspective. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to your next episode. 🫶🏻

Absolutely great suggestions. We do some of that, but much of it gets edited out because nothing happens. As I am sure you know, much paranormal investigation is eventless, and that doesn't make great KZbin entertainment. But I hear you, and we will definitely try to include more of that in our future episodes. Thanks for the comments and suggestions! - JV

Centralia is such a crazy story.. I grew up close to there, too young to remember the town but old enough to remember "graffiti highway" and have visited it. It was a stretch of probably dangerous roadway that was completely covered in graffiti that the state went through dumping truckloads upon truckloads of dirt to allow nature to take it back over.. I remember the steam/smoking cracks in the road. Tons of people go there to dump because its not monitored anymore and even more teens go there for bush partying. When you're back in the area, stop by the Yuengling mansion for a tour and a beer in Pottsville, PA. Its a gorgeous mansion and the Yuengling family is amazing.

I wonder what would happen if you went to that town in Pennsylvania that has a fire burning underground, and took a thermal imaging camera with you and scoped the town out at night. I bet that would be pretty interesting

These are my type of ghost hunts. They seem more legit. Not like the modern day ones where you see half a dozen shadow people, perfectly clear voices and a full bodied apparition.

I video taped a friend who had been in the movie "Gettysburg" as a reinactor. He had several paranormal experiences there. It was very interesting. I'm glad I taped it. Jason, I always wondered what you thought about hearing footsteps. Why would spirits have footsteps you can hear? .Just wondered .
