For the first time, the battles against ISIS soldiers were filmed up close. December 2014, Islamic State forces completely surrounded the Sinjar mountain, west of Mosul in Iraq. They control all the roads. Fleeing is impossible. A population of Yezidi Kurds, Muslims and Christians are prisoners in the villages of Sinjar. The fights are daily, house by house. The merciless circle closes on the meager Kurdish forces who resist, poorly armed against Daesh.

Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas l'histoire de la religion yézidie, les Yézidis ont célébré le premier Nouvel An yézidi en 4750 avant JC à l'époque du dieu Akito Sumri, ajoutant une année de naissance de 2023, faisant de l'année yézidie 6773, bien que ce ne soit pas documenté. à cette époque, cela signifie que la foi yézidie a plus de sept mille ans.
