Investing, credit, financial literacy as a whole was never talked about in the black community growing up. It was always talked about as if it was illegal to do it (stock market investing). I love what your doing brotha. To the people who are looking to be long term investors, it's also important to not look at your stock market investments as "buying a stock", but rather "buying a piece of a company". If you look at it a just "buying a stock" it can lead to you becoming a trader....trading stocks on all the hype instead of looking at financials, valuations, etc. If I offered to sell you my company whose revenues have been declining year after year and the company has never turned a profit would you buy it. Alot of companies in the market right now have terrible financials, terrible valuations, terrible business models, etc. Right now stocks are going to go up the way that they are because of the FED pumping record breaking numbers into the economy.....but valuations will correct at some point and you don't want to have your hand caught in the cookie jar chasing hype instead of fundamentals (financials, valuations, etc). Like my guy says.....DO YOUR RESEARCH. The majority of your portfolio shouldn't be speculative companies. It should be mostly quality companies like some metioned in this video. If this is your first year investing, what's been happening this year...IS NOT THE NORM. Typically spec plays die a slow death unless your exit strategy is on point. And if your portfolio dies a slow death because it's full of speculative stocks, it will leave a bad taste in you mouth for stock market investing. I see it every year. I started a ROBINHOOD account in March but didn't really know what I was doing and made some bad choices, luckily some of my better choices offset my bad. I then opened a grown up investment account in October. I also started a new Roth in November. I will consolidate them into one account this year making it easier to keep track of. Great video. Here’s the thing, if you have credit card debt and/or less than 6 months of savings YOU SHOULD NOT BE trying to buy stocks. Please pay off credit card debt, save money, and put money into your 401k. THEN and only then should you consider investing in the stock market.

Chris Sain, I have $5,000 that’s been sitting in my pocket since the March lows of the market and have used the last 3/4 months to study the stock market as I have no prior knowledge or experience. Loving the channel. I wanted to know if you could do a video on how to analyze a company. If you've done it already I apologize, but I didn't see one. I’m a struggling tractor trailer driver over the road looking to spend more time at home with my family. At this time I’m a sub contractor for a company and I get paid pretty well to afford 1k a week. Last year I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy because I was running my own company with 3 trucks and it started ok till the bull crap virus and a bad contract agreement with 2 of my trucks. So this year I’m going all in on stocks because 3 years ago I was playing around and wasn’t educated on it till I saw you and you made it more understandable.
