Investing in Body Cams Across Central KY

(LEX 18) - Every time a Richmond police officer engages in an act of duty, department policy requires them to double-tap a body-worn camera on their uniform.
When it activates, it records the interaction between a police officer and the civilians involved in an enforcement activity.

Then they charge you _hundreds_ of dollars to obtain the footage that you already paid for via taxes, *and* they're heavily redacted and they're allowed to _tamper_ with evidence by muting them whenever they want. *_FILM THEM YOURSELF._*

Williamsburg doesn’t wear body cameras and it scares me to death. I used to have a cop follow me around everywhere I went it has left me terrified.

People should use their own cameras...No foot-dragging or outright refusal to release footage relative to FOIA request,, usually using a myriad of reasons...And the whole video,, not one that's undergone a lot of audio and video "creative" surgery...And if EVERYONE has a camera,, that much more incentive for EVERYONE to behave..
