It's so great to see your positive energy - I'm sure you guys aren't smiling all day but from PoPS updates back in the day and whatnot it's always been so evident how much fun you guys have, even when it's a lot of work and things sometimes don't go the way you planned it. I just confirmed my investement - so great to be able to be a small part of this.

This is so fascinating to learn about all the bts what goes into making a movie (it's not just shooting movie throwing it up on a giant theater screen for people to watch) all the technical stuff and "paperwork" Thank you for all of this info. I am truly learning a great deal

Hey Jake! My name is Joseph Rodgers. I applied to audition for your movie on Backstage a while back. I was just letting you know just in case you didn’t see it on there. I’m honestly just as excited as you are about it! I would love an opportunity to read for you and audition for the role of Danny. Sorry if this is unprofessional, I just really want to be a part of your film!!

Question that may have been answered in the past but I missed it: why shoot on the Sony gear rather than more specialized filming equipment like a C300 or (likely rented) Red. Is it simply a cost saving measure, comfort level of the camera op, low light capacity, etc?
@JakeJarvi2 жыл бұрын
@@RobertJones I love this question because I've spent SO much time thinking about it. There are several reasons. I love the look of the footage that comes out of the A7S iii. I love the low light performance as you mentioned here, the dual iso factor is a big one for me. Bumping up to that second ISO inside the haunt really allows us to capitalize on a lot of the theatrical lighting already in place in the haunt and it mimicks my eye's experience of the place. But a really big factor for me is the light and adaptable nature of the camera. Even with the added bits of gear we can still toss it on the handheld gimbal and shoot a long take with it without killing our camera op or getting bogged down with a lot of extra gear or rig switching. For a production as small as ours, with as much going in front of the lens as we have, it's the perfect camera to deliver beautiful images while staying quick on our feet to keep us on schedule.
