Hi Abhishek, could you create a back test on a more practical basis, i.e. 1) no dividend reinvesting (very few retail investors do that) and 2) [MOST IMPORTANTLY] factoring in the short term capital gains tax paid on account of quarterly rebalancing. And put that return next to an index ETF (that will be a fair comparison, no?)

Second thing last last 11 yr comparison ke badle aap jabse particular smallcase start hua tabse index ko compare kara chahiye. Point to point comparison between particular smallcase performance over top 150 stock index .

Hi Dispel! If you're considering the dividends being added to the returns for professional smallcases in the discover section, the dividends are not included. However, once you invest in a smallcase, the total returns and the index will show the dividends credited for the stocks.

@@TheDeepeddie don't consider back testing blindly it's often misleading . Imagine someone investing in infosys now and then back testing it to 90s , the annualised returns will be impressive but we miss out on the aspect of perfect stock screening .. how many of them fund managers had predicted infosys would grow so big . Best is to analyse from the point of start and try to match it with bench mark index in that period. Older the fund/small case with solid returns more reliable it is

I don't understand why the returns charts for smallcases start so late. Even after selecting maximum, I am not able to see returns from a couple years before the recession. Anyone would of course be interested in how these portfolios performed during the most major event in recent history. And that doesn't seem transparent.

Hi, The recession period ideally started in December 2007 and lasted till Dec 2008. Whereas, our past performance charts are available from August 2007. Hence, you'll be able to see how the smallcase had performed during the recession period clicking on the max filter.
