Investors Should Focus On High Floating Stock Over Low Float: Nilesh Shah Of Kotak Mutual Fund

Nilesh Shah, Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund has urged investors to shift focus from momentum-driven investing to a more bottom-up, quality-driven approach. According to Shah, “Valuations have corrected, and stocks should be looked at on a bottom-up basis.”
Shah further advised investors to prioritise quality over momentum and pay attention to liquidity aspects.
“Investors should focus on high floating stock over low float,” he said, signalling that high-float stocks often provide more stability and are less prone to manipulation.
Naren, Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, said that banking is the sector to watch out for in this Samvat.
