Nate, how long did it take for you not only to identify what the tape and level II was telling you, but also have a good understanding for who was pulling the strings behind the scenes (ie: institutions faking retail traders out in order to create volume/liquidity to cover their positions, etc)?

Yes very curious to know the same thing, you say "they" often in your posts as well.

I think he means manipulators. They are the ones throwin the big bids on lvl2 to accumulate shares on the sheeps smackin the offer to get in. You will see each attempt at a level fail thus meaning that a seller is present and you should watch tape to confirm the behavior around those levels. Once the sheep realize that they were trapped they all panic sell and the flush appears.

After seeing that HOV chart I wondered why I never saw it on my scanners. Then I checked and it only had 737,000 shares of volume that day. WOW, so this what you guys trade? I'm kind of stunned that you pull it off.. That's pretty illiquid my man, it would not be hard to get stuck in a position. These are usually crap companies and combined with being short in that illiquid environment, you're kind of at the mercy of some crooked CEO to not pump it up again and send the price screaming against you. But if it works for you my man, have at it!
