This is freaking amazing. I’ve never had anyone break down like this. 2 years of CrossFit, and still trying to get the muscle up. Great coach, great energy, and superb information. This channel is a hidden gem, and be plugging it fsho.

I actually could do some muscle ups but this video is like I saw what I had to do exactly for the very first time. Now I muscle up no matter how fatigued I am..!! Wow, really helpful. I owe you a coffee or a beer should you come to Greece.! Thanx mate

What's your opinion on the "typical" hollow/arch approach to MU's? I've never seen this way before but it all looks good!
@travisewart Жыл бұрын
Wow, I am very late to respond to this! Haha so sorry! I'm not a fan of the hollow/arch bar muscle-up, at least to teach the majority of people. When you move your body through less ROM you are not able to create as much momentum in your lower body. The majority of CrossFitters aren't quite as strong as required for the hollow/arch technique and the technique I coach here opens the door for many more people to get their muscle-ups, or just to make them easier by using less muscular effort :) Sorry for the late reply?? Not sure "late" is even sufficient... but I hope you get this message! Travis

@@travisewart no worries at all thank you for taking the time to reply. That makes sense and I’ve been using this way with my guys recently with great success!

pretty original, and different from other methods. it is apparent that biceps are poorly stressed, which is an advantage. thumb up.

Hello... im gonna try the whole drills tonight, i just have question: Do I need to performe a specific amount of pull ups or c2b before to reach this skill? I mean, i ve been into crossfit for 6 years and i dont find the way to make it happens. So maybe I am lack of strenght? Or technique. Anyway Ill try this. Thanks.

great video....but why is it always the 152 lb guy that is teaching muscle ups....love to see him do it if he weighed 252 lbs.(100 lb chained weight) .... my bet is he couldn't even come close to doing it
@travisewart5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for noticing, but I'm a heaping 165#. I should have a word with my folks about setting me up with these little guy genes lol. Really though, the mechanics work the same no matter your size mate. I would accept the challenge except it would have to be a complete body suit as the movement is based on the weight distribution of a semi-proportional human. Maybe I can wear a wetsuit and shove gravel in there... Either way, I hope the video helped!
