This has to be the best catback. I don't have a 7.5 but hearing this video & a friend's in real life. I think i'd cop if I had a 7.5.

Best sounding exhaust for the mk7/7.5.... Too many golf r cars in aus running the xforce catback , no comparison to the r400

I’ve put my deposit down at Pacortech going the R400 and Galano ECU + DSG Tune air intake down pipe NGK Plugs hole Mine sounds as good as yours hanging for next week 🎉

Yeah took my 18 R 7.5 to Pacortech for stage 1. Didn’t get the exhaust done that’s coming soon. Only had it back a few months and loving it. I think stage 3 is coming very soon though. She needs more power

How's the R400 volume wise compared to your res delete setup? Would you say the R400 when closed is similar to the res the delete when open?

Depending how much throttle you're giving it. The R400 with valves closed and cruising along is really not much louder than stock. If you lean on the throttle a bit it's about the same volume as a res delete with valves open. Just a better sound imo :)

Hey mate. Out of curiosity did you do the install yourself? How would you rate the time taken and difficulty? Was there much finicky stuff involved with cable routing or electronincs to get the valve system hooked up?

Hey man, my friend installed it for me. Watching along though, it was very straight forward. He also said it's one of the easiest installs he's done. All the hangers etc lined up perfectly. There's no wiring involved as it uses the factory valves. So just unscrew the unit and screw it onto the R400 :)

@@XoNMan1 It is loud, but it's not obnoxious. I was actually a little concerned it'd be too loud. But I find it the perfect balance.

@@XoNMan1 haha no pops and bangs. Just how the exhaust sounds with valves open and letting off the gas at higher rpms. If you drive "normally" the exhaust is pretty tame and you get very few pops and crackles. I live in a complex...haven't had any complaints...yet 😅

Hey Kamran, The burbles are just louder because of the exhaust. No crackle map (not a fan imo). If you have a 7.5r select race mode on your screen and tap it a few times. They come stock with burbles built in.

I was thinking to weld some double walled stainless tips on. Do you think the diameter of the tips are a significant factor to the loudness? Or, is it all internal?

@@DistractedTraderthe tips add to the loudness. I’ve got a similar setup at present and tried swapping the tips for double walled ones which made it much softer.

@@andrewraman6889hey! Haha This brought me back! I ended up getting a custom catback setup at the time with CTS catted dP. I went for thin walled stainless tips that were outer-shielded with carbon fibre. I told them to make up a high quality cat back and I’d grab the tips. Best 1.3k aud cash job ever. And whichever box they went with - (South African brand), it was incredible, no drone. A lot of the golf’s around Adelaide have terrible drone and when they fly off, I feel sorry that they spent 2k for it
