I believe you don't know how much this song means to me, but I will try to explain it to you. My wife is a Linkin Park fanatic, and I clearly remember the day she explained to me the lore of this song, these lyrics, I remember crying because I understood Mike's pain, and I thought I would never feel anything like that. Until I adopted Veldora, a scared, fearful black kitten, haunted by the prejudice that people have for black cats, and he chose us, so we adopted him and took care of him. I chose the name Velldora because he has bravery, presence and had great meaning for the work, but above all, he is the Storm Dragon, just like Veldora, my kitten was a huge cat, but small inside, sweet, calm , but scared, and always with his stuck and strong way of expressing himself. I used to play Fishing Vibes for him to sleep, whenever he was scared or electric, it always worked, he fell asleep, it seemed to be his favorite lullaby. Veldora ran away one day, without leaving a trace, and I know it was all my fault. A while later we discovered this mashup, and God, how it sums up everything I feel, in every word, but not for me, because I feel what his little brother, Sora, feels. I can see that he leans on us, because he misses Veldora, we adopted Veldora to keep Sora company, and to this day, Sora and I are left with this void, which will never be filled. But at least, we can listen to this mashup and let the tears fall a little, remember the good times we lived, and despite everything, remember our dear storm kitten, Veldora Tempest ❤️
