Invisible Laser Trap Pranks YouTube’s CEO

“Talent is equally distributed, opportunity is not.” We had a FIRST Robotics group from Oakland visit CrunchLabs for the day which equated to me having my mind blown by a bunch of future engineering legends. We talked in part about how they don’t typically have access to the types of opportunities a lot of schools around here get. On that note, Google.org is providing a total of $10 million in grants to FIRST Robotics and REC Foundation to help 300,000 U.S. middle schoolers participate in robotics programs with a focus on communities and students who traditionally haven’t had access to things like robotic programs (and to be clear this post is not sponsored… it’s just a cool initiative that deserves an extra thumb on the scale).

1:13 that bullet catching hoverboard is a great idea. If there's ever like a paintball style nerf gun battle location, they should use these hoverboards as sort of a bonus round to see who can collect more bullets for extra points. Would make the clean up fun and easy

I would like to point out that FIRST also has a Lego robotics league where you build a Lego robot and code it to do missions on a board to score points but also are scored on how you treat others the design of the robot and an innovation project which changes with the theme every season for anyone who might be interested 😊

MARK ROBER’s Rockin’ Science world tour… Just an idea my son and have been thinking about. It would be great to give more kids a chance to meet you live via a bus tour that could resemble a rock concert with lasers, lights, and fire balls revolved around several science experiments. You could also have a build along competition, where the kids would get a crunch labs box to build along. Example… how many plastic figures could you knock over and the competition would be different with each box. (credit son). Think of it as what could happen if you mesh Mark Rober with a Kiss concert.
