Thanks for posting this - it's lovely and really made my day brighter. Hope to see full musical, WITNESS UGANDA, in Scotland very soon. Best wishes to all involved.

There is just something so beautiful about couples who are in love and also create great art together. I dunno, it just speaks to how much trust and communication and understanding of each other there is in the relationship. I am so excited to see where this show goes and I really REALLY hope a cast recording comes around!

I don't claim that these are 100% accurate, but here's my attempt at capturing the lyrics. There's some underscore singing in the choruses, and I didn't know how to write it out. Seems to just be a repetition of the lines of the end of the previous verse. I already love this song so much, and I want everyone to be able to appreciate the beauty, even if they are deaf/hard of hearing. :-) There is a long invisible thread That wraps around my heart And wraps around your head It tightens its grip When things go unsaid And I can’t break free Let go, let me Little boy, break free Leave him out on his own Let him find his way home Can’t take all this pain on his shoulders Only weighs you all down when you’re older Let him run, let him fly If you love him, then don’t cry tonight Let him learn all he can So when he comes home to you He’ll be a better man There is a long invisible thread That wraps around my heart And wraps around your head It tightens its grip When things go unsaid And I can’t break free Lord above, can you hear my prayers If you know the answer, then make me aware How to still love him and how to still care And how to stay strong when I want to be over there Do I run, do I fly? How can I love him and keep my eyes dry Do I learn all I can So when he comes to home I’ll be a better man There is a long invisible thread That wraps around my heart And wraps around your head It tightens its grip When things go unsaid And I can’t break free [instrumental break] There is a long invisible thread That wraps around my heart And wraps around your head It tightens its grip When things go unsaid And I can’t break free There is a long invisible thread That wraps around my heart And wraps around your head It tightens its grip When things go unsaid And I can’t break free And I can’t break free And I can’t break free

I love that moment at 1:14 when one man steps out of the frame and the other steps into the frame - it's so seamless. Gorgeous work. I just didn't get that part when they are running backwards near the end when he arrives at the airport - it's not a criticism, I just don't understand what that's supposed to mean... But I loved all the simple details and how they match. Great direction! And the song is beautiful.

If it's just to maintain a Gay lifestyle, it's art but not a fact. If you 're homosexual, why are you so intent on expressing the Gay lifestyle? That 's nonsense. Thanks for the thread, though. You'll never miss it!

What…?
@ZeroOskul2 жыл бұрын
@@lauren3010 That comment is from 5 years ago but: Homosexuality is interest in sex with people of the same gender. Gay is a type of homosexual lifestyle, engaged in by men, that seems to involve chest shaving, eyebrow plucking, moderate use of makeup, and collecting throw pillows, for some reason; and convincing everyone that all homosexual people are gay. Bisexuality is interest in people of both primary gender groups and is probably the sanest sense of sexuality for pleasure rather than as a purely procreative act. Queer is having sexual interests that deviate from biblical standards and includes all items on this list, and MORE. Transgenderism or transexuality is the feeling of being in the wrong mindset for the body one is in and often involves corrective medical treatment. Intersex is having both or neither standard sex organs. Crossdressing or transvestitism is interest in wearing clothes that are sold for a specific gender that is not the gender of the wearer.

They can express however they want as long as it’s not hurting anyone, which it isn’t, so they are fine to express themselves. Expressing your true self doesn’t mean you’re forcing your lifestyle on others. Most people like this just wanna chill, and if they do something bad, it’s usually unrelated to the fact that they are homosexual, because heterosexual are also capable of evil. Homosexuals are capable of the same things as heterosexuals, and vice versa, whether it’s good, bad, both, or in between. Everyone is allowed to have their own lifestyle.
@ValpCreates4 ай бұрын
Also gay is another word for homosexual, which is rooted in feelings, but can be expressed in anyway by anyone who’s homosexual, which is a fact that many gays/homosexuals are aware of.

@@ValpCreates Yes, and we can be anything we want but, for some reason, as a nuclear family, 9-5, 3 kids, wife, house, backyard, tree is appealing to some people it is not the only way to be cis-hetero, despite the Non-Cis-Hetero alphabet soup, most non-cis-hetero people coming to their own outside the LGBTQI+ community wind up in the L or G camp, most probably because they are the most commonly discussed in popular media. The most common non-cis-hetero way to be is Bi, but that gets almost no media attention. If you go into the actual LGBTQI+ community, you will find many people trying to discover their true nature who had been previously brainwashed by Hollywood to believe they are specificaally Gay and not any other way of being. If the only options were "normal" or "freak" then most non-cis-hetero people would have to identify as freaks, since they wouldn't meet the criteria for "normal", but that does not mean they really are freaks, it means it is the only vernacular they would know of or have available to describe themselves. Hollywood forces the lifestyle on all of us and we must reject what Hollywood says we are so that we can be and behave as we truly are. Ncuti Gatwa, the newest Doctor Who actor, identifies as Queer and refuses to publicly explain what that means, because it is nobody's business but Ncuti's. The only people who really want everybody, even strangers, to know what they get down to in the bedroom are weirdoes.
