I saw her do this in Manchester a few weeks ago. She stripped it down even more, less was more. So emotional, for her and her audience. It was one song of several that brought the tears to my eyes and I know many others. A concert that left me full of joy.

I was at both shows that day and all I wanted to do was to give her a hug and tell her to go to bed and rest. You don’t need to do this for us….. she was sick as a dog for days and had done promotion work in I think four countries in a small week. This being one of her most personal songs (I belive she has said) on top of it all broke her and all of us. We were sobbing with her. What an absolute beautiful performance to be witnessed to. I can’t wait to see her perform at Royal Albert Hall in October ♥️

Again proof that Aurora lives for and in music. Hardly any other artist I know would allow themselves to show their feelings so openly in front of their audience. Only Aurora's fans give her the space to do so and support her the way Aurora supports them. The concert was one of the many on their promotional tour of the new album and was very down to earth with only 2 musicians. Fredrik and Amalie who, as you see at the end, are more like family than colleagues. I was able to see Aurora myself in Oslo at a small concert in a record store. Only 60 spectators and two meters away from her, an experience that I will not forget. The song was also there very emotional. It must be an enormous pressure to play so many small concerts in so many countries at such short intervals and with a cold. Still she gives all her love to us. An emotional and open being named Aurora who passes on her soul warmth to us without reservation... there is still hope for humanity 😊.

there are so many good songs (16!!!) on the new record. it didn't get much attention, unfortunately. she wrote this song (the last song on the record) and the first song on the record at the begin of the project ('what happened to the heart'). those two songs are very personal to her, in this song ('invisible wounds') she recognize, that it is probably be better to fix the own problems first, before trying to help fix other peoples problems. thanks for the request (this is the better audio version). thanks for the reaction.

She did two shows at PRYZM that night, this was the second show and I was in the audience. She explained before this song that it affects her a lot and, yes, she and a portion of the audience were in tears by the end 😢 I have a feeling this won't be on the setlist too often ...

This song made me cry and I feel it so much. I leaved my friend, and i regretted it, but I had hope, to come back to my friend. This song "Invisible wounds" It really helped "And I need you to forgive me if you can" I came to my friend and asked her if we could be friends again and if she could forgive me and we both burst in tears. This song reminds me of honesty and forgiveness

I squeeze into a small hole Through the eyes of needles to stitch you up again Even though I know so well I can't fix anything I look for blood to shed Mistaking every vein for thread Spreading out too thin As I'm lying in my bed, barely existing And I need you And I need you To understand To understand Sometimes I see light And I fear it's only fantasy Oh, wouldn't it be tragic If there is no light in me, not any magic And I need you To forgive me If you can If you can I know the best I can Isn't always good enough It hurts to know I hurt you Like I know it hurts for you to know you've hurt me And now my blood is yours And life is slowly losing touch How do we learn to tend to These invisible wounds our homes gave us? I can't heal you And you can't heal me Even if We wanted to And how I wanted to And I need you to stop needing me Like I've needed you we both need to Tend to the invisible wounds Outro..

It is quite obvious that this song is deeply personal to her and to revisit that place and time of pain every time she performs it must be incredibly difficult. A heartbreakingly beautiful song and performance and very brave of her to share her message.

I'll be back. That is a promise. Even though I have had the WHTTH? album for two months now I have only listened it through once. Peace and quiet is needed, none around here now. But now I have a portable CD player (yes) and I shall take the album with me into the forest and dive into it completely. Before that, I avoid all reaction videos! Thanks in advance (watched only the intro)!

There are so many great songs on this new album but its only this one that take me to the onionland. Thanks again J.C.

It is so strange, and at the same time; not strange at all: you said EXACTLY what I thought after my first Aurora concert; it feels like she is talking to each of us, like she is front of her friends and family. Now I have seen her live 5 times, and I cant wait for the next.

Thank you for reacting to this one. This is from her latest and most personal album, What happened to the heart, and in this last track she struggles. Is it a farewell? I don't know. We don't know, or like in Runaway,"Nobody knows". Only the future can tell.

Aurora stated previously, that she feels the need to tell 8 different kinds of stories (or story lines) as an artist. Her first 'story' was represented by "All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend". Her second 'story' was represented by "Infections of a Different Kind - Step 1" and "A Different Kind of Human - Step 2". Her third 'story' was represented by "The Gods We Can Touch". Her fourth 'story' was represented by "What Happened To The Heart?" In other words: At this point in time nobody has any idea, what she would do in the near future.

Everyone who happens upon Aurora I am pretty sure gets touched in a way that is unique to them. I know I was and I would never have done so if it wasn’t for reaction channels like Stratele Studios. I rarely used to dip into KZbin but when at a low point one evening I looked for comfort in the music I know and love. By chance Aurora found me through a reaction video that was in the side bar and piqued my interest. I realised there was no cure for me as a wise sage once said but I discovered the empathy I craved and with that came hope. I just wish that all those who are troubled in any way find Aurora and feel the comfort I did. It is now 1am 5th Oct and I am lying in a hotel bed in Edinburgh counting down the hours until I get to witness her majesty in flesh for the first time

@@StrateleStudiosStatus update. I’ve just got back from the gig. It was a truly magnificent, magical experience. I have never cried at a concert before but Aurora had me wiping tears from my eyes on multiple occasions. Another interpretation of murder song followed by exist for love was one, so beautiful I’m sure the whole auditorium was in floods. She ended with invisible wounds. Just her on stage with a keyboard.

Great reaction and talk, Jeff! As you may have guessed, this song is very personal to her. She had difficulty recording the studio version because she kept crying, and even the best take they managed still has some of that. And that continues on all the live performances I've seen. This video really captured it well, though. Beautiful song and performance, though also heartbreaking.

Aurora is one of my favorite artists today with emphasis on art. Eivor is my absolute favorite. Then we go back to Kate Bush for me. You should do Eivor's song Boxes which is my favorite song since Kate Bush. My favorite Aurora song is Little Boy in the Grass.

She said that she had a hard time getting through this song in the studio without crying, you can hear the emotion in her voice on the album version. I'm not sure what made it so personal for her.
@art_by_accident3 ай бұрын
I think the likely explanation is that it was something in the audience. It's true that this song is, by her own account, very personal for her, but she is generally not sentimental in her music. Emotional in human interaction, but not sentimental in the music. As for the studio recording of this, the way I heard that was that she had difficulty getting through it without her voice cracking. Which makes sense - lots of singers will tell you that it's almost impossible to be that high and that soft at the same time. One has to go. None of which takes away from a lovely performance of a beautiful song, and Jeff is as usual perceptive and spot on. And while I'm here, I will as usual recommend the Holy Trinity: Soul with no king Live at VEVO, Some type of skin Live at VEVO, and Starvation, either the official edit or the choreography edit.

She struggled with this song because it was very personal for her. It was the first song she did on the album together with Echo of my Shadow. She was very broken at the time, realizing she had some big inner wounds she needed to heal before she could continue to be there for others. I believe it was a big leap in her maturing process As far as I know it was only done on those two album release shows. It was not performed later, being too personal for her
